Sabrina Carpenter to Perform at 2026 Grammy Awards

Published: Jan 21 2026

Sabrina Carpenter will be extending her workday late into the night, as the multi-talented singer is preparing for her star-studded performance at the 2026 Grammy Awards, which will air on CBS on February 1st. The Recording Academy announced her as the first performer to grace the stage at this prestigious event, marking her second appearance at the award show after her debut in 2025 with the hits "Please Please Please" and "Espresso."

This evening will be a truly remarkable one for Sabrina, as the 26-year-old is nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Man's Best Friend," as well as Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video for her single "Manchild."

After the nominees were announced in November, with Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar leading the pack with nine nominations each, Sabrina shared her immense honor of being nominated alongside Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, and more. "Six nominations," she wrote on Instagram at the time. "I am so humbled and grateful. Thank you @recordingacademy."

Should she win, Sabrina will add to the Grammys she received in 2025: Best Pop Solo Performance for "Espresso" and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Short n' Sweet." However, as the "When Did You Get Hot?" singer previously shared, after being a child actor and releasing five albums before "Short n' Sweet" took off in a big way, it's truly an honor just to be nominated.

"I've always been true to myself," Sabrina shared with People in 2025. "And I've believed in my work since I was young." She added, "I've realized that it's always been about the small baby steps that you take over time to get you to this point."

It's a sentiment that the Girl Meets World alum previously shared, noting that she truly believes in "divine timing." "There are moments in everyone's life where the stars align," she shared with Paper Magazine in 2024. "But it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't spent the last years working so hard. Not for these things that are happening now, but just working so hard to feel true to my own voice and excited about the things I'm making."

"I had to fight off a lot of voices and opinions and people controlling me when I was younger," she explained, "whether that be in music or acting, because I was a child coming into this."
