**Angel Reese** is all set to add another feather to her cap! She's joining the cast of **The Hunting Wives** season 2 alongside stars like **Brittany Snow** and **Malin Akerman**. This Netflix drama is based on the novel of the same name, and Angel is no stranger to the cameras—having already appeared in the 2025 political thriller **A House of Dynamite**.
The 23-year-old WNBA player shared the exciting news on Instagram on January 20th, posting a photo of herself in a director's chair on set. The photo also offered a glimpse behind the scenes as she struck a series of poses by her trailer, hinting at her role by writing onscreen, "Trainer Barbie."
Angel, who plays for the **Chicago Sky**, may have manifested her new gig back in August when she wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Nglllll The Hunting Wives is a CRAZYYYY but good watch." After the series creator, **Rebecca Cutter**, thanked her for tuning in, she replied, "Just let me know if you need me for season 2."
This isn't Angel's first time in front of the camera. She previously appeared in **A House of Dynamite**, starring **Idris Elba** and **Rebecca Ferguson**, and it ignited her desire to seriously pursue the performing arts. "I want to get an acting coach," she told **People** in September. "I was talking to Common—he's overseas right now shooting season 2 of **Silo**—and he was telling me, 'You got to hire an acting coach.'"
Despite being "really nervous" prior to stepping on set, Angel credited her costars for helping her become familiar with her surroundings. "I had some great people on the cast that made me feel really comfortable," she shared. "The girls there made me feel comfortable."
And besides, Angel has already begun expanding her empire outside of basketball. "I model already, so it's like adding to the résumé," she continued. "I'm young right now, so I'm going to do it while I'm young."
Fans of **The Hunting Wives** are certainly in for a treat next season. Brittany recently teased that a major development is in store. "Someone dies," she told **Entertainment Tonight** on January 11th. "I won't tell you who." "A lot of things happen this season that are very shocking," she added. "It's gonna leave people very angry, but in a sexy way."
