Sarah Paulson is paying homage to an icon and dear friend. The star of "All's Fair" shared a picture of her new tattoo dedicated to Diane Keaton, three months after the star of "Annie Hall" passed away, which would have been her 80th birthday. On her wrist, Sarah revealed a small ink of the initials "DK," created by Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Daniel Winter, alongside a touching tribute to her "The Other Sister" costar.
"You would have been 80 today," the "American Horror Story" star wrote alongside a slide of the tattoo and a picture of their silhouettes overlooking the water on Instagram on Jan. 5. "Too many profound emotions to encapsulate here... I was the luckiest person in the world to have traveled with you, laughed until we cried, watched countless movies, truly grieved, and shared fries with you. You. You. The extraordinary, unique, YOU. I will miss you forever."

Sarah credited Daniel for providing her with a lifelong reminder of her friend, adding, "Thank you @winterstone for my eternal reminder of one of my forever people."
Diane passed away on October 11 at the age of 79, following a battle with bacterial pneumonia. Two months later, Sarah shared rare insights into their relationship while accepting an honor at the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment ceremony in the form of personal emails.
"Look, I want to know every single thing that's going on with you—your career, your love, your damn house," Diane wrote to Sarah in a message read during the ceremony on Dec. 3. "When are you in? Love you, little special. Keep me informed of your developments. Diane, one of your friends."
Sarah tearfully shared what she would have said to the "The Family Stone" actress if she had been alive to receive another email.
"Dear dumb-dumb, I want to tell you I'm sorry that your voicemail was always full," she shared through tears. "I want to tell you I'm sorry I wasn't available every time you called me. I want to tell you how much crummier the world is without you in it. I want to tell you everything that happened in my life in the 54 days since you've been gone."
Giving one final nod to the late actress, Sarah said, "But most importantly, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being my friend. Sarah Paulson, actress. Please call."
