Selena Gomez Unveils Bangin’ New Hair Transformation

Published: Jun 24 2025

Selena Gomez has embraced a bold new look with her bangs making quite the statement. Ditching her sleek, grown-out bob—often styled in a sleek bun or high ponytail—for textured bangs and shaggy, choppy layers that beautifully frame her summer curls, the "Calm Down" crooner is embracing a fresh aesthetic. In a June 23 Instagram post, Selena, donning a white bathrobe, captioned her new 'do with, "I would, but I'd regret it...then get it redone so I simply won't," hinting at her love-hate relationship with hairstyle experiments.

This isn't the first time the 32-year-old has experimented with bangs. In fact, she made a stylish debut with a bottleneck fringe at the Los Angeles premiere of her friend Nicola Peltz Beckham's film 'Lola' back in February.

More recently, the star of 'Only Murders in the Building' was also instrumental in her fiancé Benny Blanco's transformation, cheering on her makeup artist Hung Vanngo as he meticulously plucked the record producer's unibrow. "I wanted it to still look like him," Selena confessed to host Drew Barrymore during a joint appearance on 'The Drew Barrymore Show' in March, adding with a sigh, "This was not my idea."

While Selena embraced the subtle transformation that went viral on social media, Benny admitted to being tired of his makeup artist's persistent attempts to convince him to let him shape his eyebrows. "He begged me," the 37-year-old joked. "He's been begging me for so long."

With a wedding on the horizon, Selena and Benny—who announced their engagement in December—have been the subject of online speculation regarding their wedding date, fueled inadvertently by Ed Sheeran. However, the songwriter admitted they hadn't quite set a date yet. He did tease, however, that his friend would be getting an invite when the time comes. "Eventually, Ed will come to our wedding when we do have one," Benny said on Australia's 'Today' show earlier this month. "But unfortunately, we have not scheduled one yet. But we will."

As for why the couple, who began dating in July 2023, is taking their time with their nuptials, Benny has made it clear that they are savoring every moment as an engaged couple. "We're very much 'take it one day at a time'-type of people," he told 'Rolling Stone' in March. "We're still not over this moment."
