It's been almost half a decade since the hit fantasy series, Game of Thrones, has plummeted from its former glory, leaving fans in a bitter state of disappointment. Despite the drastic fall from grace, fans have always held on to the hope that some of the original characters might return in spin-offs or sequels to redeem the ruined arcs of Season 8. We were almost on the brink of realizing this dream – through the return of Jon Snow – but alas!
Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark, has now shared her thoughts on the possibility of returning to the franchise. "Show me the money" (laughs). I don't know, I think it would be both hard and amazing to come back to it," Turner told The Direct. "Maybe it would be an utter joy, or maybe it would be trying to cling on to something that was once magical and can't be recreated. I would have to see a script."
However disappointing the show may have ended, there is one thing that Turner is very content with: how things concluded for Sansa. "I feel that I was very happy with the way Sansa ended her story in 'Game of Thrones,' and no one else was really happy with their ending." And maybe that's why she's a bit hesitant to return. "I feel like I got a good one, and so I don't know if I could revisit it."
While Turner's return seems far-fetched for now, it's time we gear up for more epic battles involving dragons. House of the Dragon Season 3 is dropping this year.
