According to an industry insider, the upcoming DCU film Supergirl is rumored to feature a cameo from a prominent Hollywood actor, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already anticipated release set for the summer of 2026. The film, an adaptation of Tom King and Bilquis Evely's comic Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, stars Milly Alcock in the lead role, with a supporting cast that includes Matthias Schoenarts, Eve Ridley, and even Jason Momoa, among others.

During the latest episode of John Rocha's The Hot Mic podcast, Jeff Sneider shared a juicy rumor that Seth Rogen is said to have a voice cameo in the film. However, he clarified that he wasn't sure which character the actor-producer was voicing and didn't feel the need to inquire further. Speculation had it that Rogen might be voicing Krypto, but Sneider later corrected this on X (formerly Twitter), stating that he was told Rogen wasn't voicing the character.
Regardless of Rogen's role (or lack of it), fans will have to wait until the film hits theaters on June 26, 2026, to find out for sure. In the meantime, Sneider also discussed the test screening for the film, which was reportedly held recently. He shared that his source, who had seen the film, liked it and had heard positive chatter before the screening, suggesting that the film was good. However, Sneider added that while his source enjoyed the film more than Superman, there was still room for improvement.
Sneider also shared some insights into the film's reception, including praising Milly Alcock's "terrific" performance as Supergirl and labeling the villain as "lame." He also mentioned that fans would likely enjoy Jason Momoa's Lobo. On the action sequences, Sneider said they were "fine" but not "memorable," and that the film would not have any "major cameos" aside from David Corenswet's Superman, whose appearance in the film he called an "extended cameo."
Craig Gillespie directed the film from Ana Nogueira's screenplay, ensuring that every aspect of this highly anticipated superhero film is executed with precision and style.
