Cassie Howard's spirits remain far from elated as Sydney Sweeney offers a glimpse into her character's intricate journey in the forthcoming third season of "Euphoria." When asked about Cassie's current mental state, the actress didn't pull any punches. "Cassie is nuts," Sydney candidly revealed to Jimmy Fallon during the June 5th episode of "The Tonight Show," further tantalizing fans by hinting, "she's even more unhinged in the new season of the HBO series."

Regarding the possibility of Cassie's character walking down the aisle, as hinted by recently leaked set photos, Sydney chose to remain cryptic. The snapshots showcase her donning a wedding gown, treading down an aisle adorned with intertwined initials "C" and "N," sparking fan theories that they stand for Cassie and Nate, her love interest in season two portrayed by Jacob Elordi. "I'm neither confirming nor denying," the "White Lotus" veteran quipped, adding facetiously that the photos "could be AI creations."

While Sydney, who announced her separation from fiancé Jonathan Davino in May after seven years together, remained tight-lipped about the remainder of Cassie's journey in "Euphoria's" third season, several intriguing details about the upcoming installment have emerged in recent months.

In December, Warner Bros. Discovery's global streaming chief, JB Perrette, revealed at a tech and media conference that the show is anticipated to return in 2026, according to Variety. Alongside Sydney and Jacob, the season will also welcome back Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, and Colman Domingo, who resumed their roles when production commenced in February. Additionally, the series will feature special appearances by Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch, Rosalía, and Sharon Stone.

"There's nothing more exhilarating than collaborating with this exceptional ensemble of talents," the "Basic Instinct" actress enthused in a statement in February. "From the brilliance of Sam Levinson to the raw elegance of this profoundly moving cast and cohesive crew, I am humbled and exhilarated to be part of 'Euphoria.'"
