"Every tale has multiple facets," Mellencamp elucidated. "I won't affirm or refute anything, but multiple individuals are entangled in this, and I reiterate the same statement I've made before—our children are paramount, and for now, that's all I'll delve into on this matter."

"We're progressing, and I just didn't want to incur accusations of hypocrisy," she confessed, referencing her kids, Slate, 12, Dove, 4, and Cruz, 10. "Young children and family members are involved. You wouldn't want to tarnish others' reputations."

The reality TV personality also admitted that there's "so much" she wasn't "prepared to process, discuss, or involve her kids in." Despite fans' desire for clarity, Mellencamp implored them to "comprehend" her need for privacy.

"In every scenario, there's always someone vocal and someone reticent, and in my realm of recapping 'Housewives,' I'm quite vocal," she continued. "However, when it pertains to kids and the lives of others who didn't sign up for this or did, I need to pause."

She further added, "But I'm still present, I'm showing up for work, and I'm doing my utmost."

On November 1st, Mellencamp filed for divorce from Arroyave, 47, after thirteen years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

The following day, the Bravo celebrity announced their separation on Instagram, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing their children during this transition.

"After much deliberation, I've made the arduous decision to file for divorce," the reality star penned in her statement. "My foremost concern is my children and ensuring their privacy and wellbeing are safeguarded throughout this new phase."

"Making a public statement wasn't my intention," she added, "but to shield my family from unwarranted speculation and rumors, I've deemed openness, honesty, and vulnerability as the best course of action."

Shortly after the announcement, during an episode of her podcast, Mellencamp stated, "I'm striving to ensure my kids' privacy is safeguarded now and that we can have these discussions in private. I didn't want it to escalate."

"For those curious about why I posted a statement, it's because when you're recognizable and file in the court system, it becomes public," she elaborated, vowing, "I know I'll keep striving to feel my best so I can be the best for my kids, my life, and my work. That's my utmost priority right now."
