Lionsgate has unveiled the precise dates for the highly anticipated theatrical comeback of the beloved "Twilight Saga." On Wednesday, the production house subtly hinted on social media that the cult vampire saga, starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, would revisit cinemas in October. Accompanying this teaser was a captivating graphic inscribed with "Forever Begins Again," which hinted at further revelations scheduled for Thursday.
Indeed, those anticipated details have now been revealed with grandeur. The "Twilight Saga" — encompassing "Twilight" (2008), "New Moon" (2009), "Eclipse" (2010), "Breaking Dawn – Part 1" (2011), and "Breaking Dawn – Part 2" (2012) — will make a grand return to theaters nationwide via Fathom Entertainment from October 29 to November 2. Each day during this span will feature a different film from the saga.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of author Stephenie Meyer's seminal "Twilight" novel, each screening will also include an exclusive 10-minute roundtable discussion featuring Meyers; producer Wyck Godfrey; Gillian Bohrer, former Lionsgate co-president of production; Erik Feig, former co-president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group; and producer Karen Rosenfelt.
"Twilight fans are renowned for their unparalleled passion, transforming this iconic movie franchise into a modern-day classic. Fathom Entertainment is absolutely thrilled to participate in bringing this beloved saga back to the big screen for a special cinematic engagement," said Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment. "Together with our partners at Lionsgate, we celebrate 20 years since the publication of Stephenie Meyer's first 'Twilight' book and encourage fans to immerse themselves once again in The Twilight Saga."
Furthermore, Warner Music Group is poised to rerelease the soundtracks of "Twilight," "New Moon," and "Eclipse" on October 31. Additionally, the inaugural national tour, Twilight in Concert, will embark on a journey across 60 cities in the United States from September 12 to November 30.
Based on author Stephenie Meyer's eponymous books, the film franchise revolves around the enchanting love story between Bella Swan (Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Pattinson). As Bella discovers Edward's vampire identity, their relationship is tested by other vampires, werewolves, and her friendship with Jacob (Lautner), who is also a werewolf.
With a combined worldwide gross of over $3.3 billion across all five films, the saga not only captivated audiences but also propelled Stewart, Pattinson, and Lautner into stardom. The ensemble cast also includes Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Justin Chon, Anna Kendrick, Michael Welch, Christian Serratos, and Sarah Clarke.
Almost two decades after the release of the first film, "The Twilight Saga" remains deeply cherished by fans. So much so that an animated TV reboot is currently in development, further testament to the enduring legacy of this enchanting saga.
