Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce embarked on a romantic getaway to a new city, fueling speculation about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's uncertain future in the NFL. The couple recently enjoyed a dinner date at the trendy Funke restaurant in Los Angeles. On January 12, Taylor, 36, stole the spotlight in a white mini skirt and oversized beige blazer, creating a shimmering ensemble that was reminiscent of an office siren. To complete her look, the "Fate of Ophelia" singer, who announced her engagement to Travis in August, styled her hair in a sleek straight style that fell just past her shoulders.
The football star, also 36, coordinated with his fiancée in beige trousers and a silk, dark-brown short-sleeved button-up shirt. As they left the Beverly Hills restaurant, Travis held tightly onto Taylor's hand as he escorted them back to their car. He also sported a new haircut, courtesy of his Los Angeles barber Vince Garcia, who shared a photo of the athlete's short skin fade haircut.
Travis and Taylor's date night came just one week after the Chiefs' season-ending loss against the Las Vegas Raiders. Since then, Travis has been shaking off rumors of possible retirement. "I'm just trying to figure it all out myself," he said on the January 7 episode of New Heights. "And I'll do that with the family and friends."
While this may be the first time Travis has been spotted relaxing on the West Coast during his off-season, Taylor has already been seen shaking off her game-day stress in sunny L.A. Three days before her night out with the athlete, the Grammy winner enjoyed a dinner with friends HAIM – Este Haim, Danielle Haim, and Alana Haim – as well as singer Sombr. As they parted ways at the end of the meal, all four of Taylor's friends clutched a special gift from her: a loaf of bread inside a brown paper bag bearing a sticker reading "Original Sourdough!"
Indeed, the "Life of a Showgirl" singer might be able to teach Travis a thing or two about how to spend his newfound free time. After all, she previously shared that she developed a "granny" hobby of baking bread after her record-breaking Eras Tour concluded in December 2024. "Right now, we're very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken up my life," Taylor explained during an August appearance on Travis and brother Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast. "I'm always baking bread and texting my friends like, 'Can I send you some bread? I need some feedback. Do you like this one better than you like the other one? I did the rise a little differently.'" She added, "I'm on sourdough blogs. There's a whole community of us, and I didn't know it."
