1992 – Season 1 Episode 3 1

At the bustling station, Richi hails a cab, oblivious to the grim discovery unfolding on the shoreline. Amparo's lifeless body washes ashore, discovered by a pair of inquisitive children who, realizing the gravity of the situation, swiftly alert the authorities. Emergency services rush Amparo to the hospital, where despite her chilling state, a couple of injections miraculously restore her vitality.

Amparo, bewildered yet resilient, regains consciousness and immediately focuses on her belongings, only to find her money stolen by the kids. Despite this setback, she gathers herself, trading her watch with a tech-savvy individual for a new phone. Her SIM card miraculously intact, she hastily dials Richi's number, her urgency palpable. She also secures a pair of shoes, realizing the importance of their impending meeting.

Before reuniting with Richi, Amparo encounters Mr. Victoria, the CEO from their previous encounter. Victoria confesses that the spree of killings is being meticulously concealed, with the Minister playing a pivotal role. Aspiring to become the next Prime Minister, the Minister is desperate to shield his reputation from any taint of scandal. The depth of his dark secrets is evident in his desperation to keep these crimes buried.

Victoria unburdens himself further, revealing that he too is ensnared in a blackmail scheme, receiving a chilling message demanding 3 million euros. Failure to comply would lead to "fire revealing the truth." The origins of this scheme trace back to the Expo, where Domingo Granjero was a renowned developer, Jose a commissioner, and Valcarcel the overlord dictating the profit distribution. Esteban Palacias oversaw investments and marketing, while Victoria served as an aide. Their grand plan to unveil a replica of the Nau Victoria, an ancient ship, was shattered by a catastrophic explosion.

The mascot aboard the ship inadvertently plummeted into the water, yet emerged unscathed; however, the real twist was that the entire publicity stunt had been sabotaged. A few days hence, they were confronted with a ransom note, prompting them to seek the Minister's assistance. Despite his soothing words and an elaborate dinner, they were left to fend for themselves. Unable to fulfill the ransom demand, an explosion shattered the Expo's tranquility. The subsequent day, the group received another letter, demanding an even greater amount of money.

This time, they devised a plan with the minister to apprehend the ransomer, but the operation descended into complete disarray. What was supposed to be a straightforward exchange transformed into a chaotic scene when a homeless man began fishing black bags out of a trash bin—the very bin where the ransom money was concealed. Following a gunshot that echoed through the air, the crowd scattered, and amidst the commotion, the money was seized, and the perpetrators slipped away into the night, never to be seen again… until now. The motive behind the killer's targeting of these individuals and the circumstances leading to this situation remain a mystery, but we are certain that the truth will soon unfold!

Later, Amparo and Richi met with Victoria, joined by Robledo, to devise the best strategy to capture the killer. They delved into the archives in search of clues. Meanwhile, the killer, resembling Freddy in his latex attire, immersed himself in a bath, grooming himself meticulously before donning the guise of one of the Men in Black.

Amparo discovered a crucial clue: security was lax on the days of the killings. This led Richi to suspect that the entire scenario might be a grand charade, with the authorities privy to the plan. Perhaps the briefcase filled with money was a mere decoy, always intended to be empty. The man in charge of security, Jose Luis Martinez Romeu, could hold the key to unraveling this case and exposing its depths. However, those words might be premature, as Rosa trailed the killer to Victoria's defenseless office. She spotted the Curro toy perched on the seat and, before she could utter a scream, the room erupted in an explosion.
