At 5:17 am, Episode 5 of "Bait" unfolds with Shah heading towards his family home, only to find it eerily silent. The scene is fraught with blood and scattered pills on the floor, and the severed pighead of Patrick Stewart lies lifeless on the sofa. Panic-stricken, Shah grabs the CCTV footage that Zulfi's men had installed and rushes to the local precinct to report his family's disappearance. He believes that racist trolls have kidnapped them as a protest against his casting as James Bond.

The cops dismiss his claims, and Shah decides to take matters into his own hands, determined to save his family. Throughout this ordeal, Stewart scolds Shah for acting insane, guiding him on the next steps and trying to convince him to focus on the upcoming audition. However, Shah is too engrossed in hacking into the CCTV system. When he fails, he reaches out to Nigel, who calls him to a train station.
Shah carries Stewart with him and narrowly escapes being caught by the police dogs posted at the station. Nigel swoops in and saves him, but Stewart is initially suspicious of Nigel and keeps trying to get Shah to leave. Nigel plays into Shah's paranoia, claiming that he can easily find his family and hinting that he is an MI5 agent who will pull strings to get Shah the Bond role. In exchange, all he wants is for Shah to be a spokesperson between MI5 and the Muslim community.
Overwhelmed, Shah makes an excuse and hides in the washroom to discuss the offer with Stewart. Surprisingly, Shah is against being a snitch, while Stewart tries to remind him that he will finally be a hero if he accepts Nigel's offer. But for once, Shah decides to take control and makes a run for it. It turns into an all-out chase with Shah losing Nigel on a train. As Shah escapes, we see that Nigel looks quite confused as to why Shah ran away.
Next, Shah shows up at the local mosque, interrupting a prayer to ask about his family's whereabouts. The situation goes south when the people present notice the pighead and chase him out. He keeps running and ends up in an alley surrounded by hallucinations of people from his past - the bullies, Sid, the uncles who berated him at Eid, and the aunty who heckled him for pretending to be Dev Patel.
In that instant, a second Shah appeared, dressed as a Bond and armed with a gun. He battled fiercely against the individuals that Stewart had referred to as Shah's failures. Once all were defeated, Stewart declared that the strong would replace the weak, implying that Bond!Shah needed to eliminate the current, feeble Shah. Bond!Shah pursued Shah as Stewart urged him to surrender. In his escape, Shah was struck by a car. Bond!Shah vanished, and Shah lay bleeding. Passersby were taken aback and tried to offer assistance, but they were unnerved when he panicked over Stewart's transformation into a mushy substance. The two exchanged parting words, with Shah believing that Stewart was the only one who truly understood him. In response, Stewart affirmed that everything he had said was for Shah's benefit. The pig finally "died," and Shah mourned his loss.
