Episode 5 of "Berlin and The Lady with an Ermine" unfolds with Berlin discovering that Damian has misplaced the bag of money. He issues strict directives, emphasizing that finding it soon is crucial to his plans. Returning to his cabin with wine and glasses in tow, Berlin hopes for a relaxing evening with Candela. However, his hopes are dashed as she stands at the door, a gun trained on him. She has taken the liberty of going through his things and uncovered all the information about the duke and the palace.
Candela confronts Berlin, forcing him to reveal his true motives for getting close to the duke and duchess. She eventually asks to join the gang. Initially reluctant to mix business with pleasure, Berlin is left with no choice but to acquiesce, seeing as Candela has the upper hand.
Meanwhile, after giving the crew some time off, Damian receives a call from a private number. The caller, whose voice is distorted, claims to have something that belongs to him and requests a meeting later that night. Determined not to go alone, Damian enlists Bruce's help and calls Roi.
As Roi waits outside the gallery, he receives the call and goes to retrieve Keila. However, he finds her engaged in a passionate encounter with Claudio. When Roi confronts her, she tries to explain but eventually admits that she is in love with Claudio and will break up with Bruce. Roi leaves when Keila insists that she will find her own way back.

Later, Bruce suggests they leave Seville and abandon the art piece business altogether. Damian points out that his issues with Keila are clouding his judgement. Bruce admits to Roi that he's not okay and that he has no right to judge Keila since he's done far worse. Roi informs him that Keila was downtown making out with another guy. They plan to take action, armed with sledgehammers.
At the palace, Genoveva returns late, smiling and with a flower in her hair. Alvaro seeks Samuel to verify Candela's story about Genoveva's secret meeting with Berlin in the bathroom. When Samuel confirms there was no one else, Alvaro believes that Genoveva is putting on a show to gain his attention. Meanwhile, Damian informs Berlin about Genoveva's blackmail, insisting that he's unwilling to become her lover. Berlin devises a plan to make photocopies of the money and exchange them for the real money that Genoveva took. Candela tells them about a garage with a Maserati that no one can touch, which might be where she hid the money.
Elsewhere, Roi takes Bruce to a rundown building where they vent their anger about falling in love and how it changed them. They discuss things they love to do, and after the heist, Roi plans to pursue his passions, like bareback riding in Canberra.
Cameron calls Berlin with an update that she managed to infiltrate one of Alvaro's luxury yachts to gather evidence of any illegal businesses they might be involved in. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew moves into the palace. Once settled in, Keila hacks the cameras, giving the team a complete view of the palace. With Keila's guidance, Berlin manages to find the real money in the Maserati and exchange it for photocopies.
Genoveva had secretly given Damian a letter when they moved in. He steps outside to read it, which talks about how she was aroused when he held her in his arms during their secret meeting. She asks him to wear a white shirt if he wants to take the next step.
The crew must scout the chapel, so Keila volunteers and asks Bruce to join her. She wants to use this time to talk to Bruce about Claudio. Bruce insists on starting the conversation and assures her that he's in love with her and that she's the one for him. He chooses to give her time to explore the world and sleep with as many people as she wants. With time, she'll realize he's the one for her, and when that happens, he'll be waiting for her to come back to him.
Berlin sends Roi to join them at the chapel when they get too emotional and start crying, blurring the camera footage. Using ammeters, they locate the mechanism used to open the door to the vault. Keila stays behind as a lookout while Bruce and Roi investigate the vault hidden underneath the chapel floor. Suddenly, the doors close in on them, and Santos enters the chapel. Keila pretends to be praying but discovers that Santos holds a grudge against her for hitting him with the car and making him disabled. He throws Keila out of the chapel, and at the end of the episode, he opens the door to the vault and walks in.
