Bosch: Legacy – Season 3 Episode 4 1

Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers) finds out that the Times newspaper is convening to deliberate on their endorsement. Although her team urges her to disassociate herself from Bosch, she remains uncertain about the move. During their conversation with Curtis, Robertson and Perry grill him about Preston Borders (Chris Browning) and Kurt Dockweiler (Will Chase). At first, Curtis steadfastly denies any acquaintance with them and Refusing to lend a helping hand Following Curtis's interrogation, they confer with Captain Rivera (David Grant Wright), where they strategize to incarcerate Curtis next to Borders and bug both cells for surveillance.

Honey endeavors to halt the Times from withdrawing their endorsement by pleading her case to Mr. Porter. However, her attempts fall flat as he informs her that he cannot sway the board's decision and she is barred from addressing the board prior to their ruling. After her unsuccessful conversation with Porter, Honey learns that Emmett Archer (Jim Holmes) possesses recordings of Bosch conversing with Borders. She promptly informs Bosch of this revelation, but he vehemently denies ever engaging in conversation with Borders. He advises her to sacrifice him to salvage her campaign, but she stands her ground and refuses. Following her chat with Honey, Bosch tries reaching out to Maddie Bosch (Madison Lintz) but receives no response, prompting him to leave a message.

Elsewhere, Mo stages an operation outside Crider Equipment, disrupting their internet connection. He then enters the premises and plays the role of the hero, ostensibly hooking up one of the computers and cloning its hard drive in the process.

As Robertson and Perry escort Borders to his newly assigned cell in Los Angeles, they devise a clever ruse, convincing him that Curtis is a treacherous informant. Yet, despite their manipulations, Borders steadfastly refuses to divulge any information. Meanwhile, Crider receives a summons from Finbar McShane (portrayed by Michael Reilly Burke), who expresses his desire for a meeting.

Elsewhere, Honey engages in a discreet conversation with a confidant, addressing the Times' withdrawal of their endorsement. She assurances him that she has the means to ensure a Los Angeles policeman is prosecuted for a fatal shooting deemed unjust. He promises to relay her concerns to the board, but warns that they will insist on granting Archer an equivalent platform to present his side. She agrees to the terms.

Janet Vasquez (played by Sonia Iris Lozada) and Maddie confer with a source at a tattoo parlor. Lucy informs them of a Emerging gangs, rumored to be peddling high-quality wares at recording studios. Borders comes to realize that he will be compelled to testify before the grand jury before he can speak with the district attorney.

Bosch arrives at Crider Equipment, confronting Crider at gunpoint with inquiries. Crider reveals that McShane has been offering him equipment at half the price fetched by Gallagher Equipment, without disclosing the reason behind the discount or inquiring further. Shortly thereafter, Bosch discusses his findings with Mo, and they conclude that verifying Crider's alibi during the Gallaghers' disappearance and speaking with McShane's partner are their most prudent actions.

Armed with their new information, Maddie and Vasquez return to the station, tracking a car with stolen license plates. Intriguingly, this same vehicle was also spotted at a local recording studio named Find Your Grind.

Bosch strides in to confront Sheila Walsh (Dale Dickey), who confesses to selling the equipment but claims that the Gallagher family had embarked on a vacation. Meanwhile, Rita Tedesco (Juliet Landau) stands Patiently waiting on the sidewalk, eagerly anticipating Borders' passing as he heads towards the grand jury.

During the hearing, Bosch attests to his past collaborations with Curtis, acknowledging their encounter at the paint store. When his lawyer inquiries about the essence of his final conversation with Curtis, Bosch invokes his Fifth Amendment rights.

Finbar engages in a brief chat with Siobhan Murphy (Orla Brady), during which she enlightens him about hiring Bosch and mentions Bosch's discovery of the blanket at the cabin.

A public defender, Kris Downey, extends an invitation to Maddie for a date, which she politely declines. Subsequently, she submits her daily worksheet to Sergeant John 'Mank' Mankiewicz (Scott Klace), who informs her that Internal Affairs will soon be seeking a discussion with her.

Borders now finds himself under scrutiny by the grand jury, questioned about the phone. He admits to possibly using it to communicate with someone external to the facility. However, when asked if he had spoken to Bosch, he invokes the Fifth Amendment.

Honey steps up before the Times board, disclosing that Archer is attempting to undermine her credibility. During the discourse, Harry's name briefly arises, prompting her to vigorously defend him.

As Harry exits the grand jury session, his gaze falls upon Rita within the courthouse's hallowed halls. Determined, he seeks out Robertson and Perry to impart his unease, using the Yiddish phrase "something isn't Kosher" to convey his suspicions, yet his words fall on deaf ears. Meanwhile, Shelia initiates a call to SoCal National Bank, orchestrating a reset of Finbar's password with practiced ease.

Outside Find Your Grind, Maddie, keeping a vigilant watch, informs Vazquez of Internal Affairs' desire for a conversation, sharing the reason behind their interest. Vazquez, compassionate, urges her not to let Bosch's actions tarnish her promising career.

Shelia, logged into Finbar's account, snapshots his bank statement, a pivotal piece of evidence. She follows this by leaving a message for Bosch, her voice tinged with urgency, requesting his return call. Unbeknownst to her, Finbar, standing just beyond the doorframe, might have overheard her words.

Bosch, his instincts sharpened, notices Robertson and Perry being tailed as they depart the courthouse. His curiosity piqued, he tails them too. Moments later, their vehicle is ambushed, and Bosch, diving into action, finds himself in the midst of a firefight. Borders, sensing defeat, flees, with Bosch hot on his trail. Back at the shootout scene, the adversaries are neutralized, while Robertson, misinterpreting the situation, gives chase to Bosch and Borders.

Borders, devious and desperate, employs his own blood, seeping from a wounded arm, as bait to ensnare Bosch in a deadly trap. By the time Robertson arrives, Borders has Bosch cornered, a gun aimed squarely at his chest. Faced with an impossible choice, Robertson is compelled to fire upon Borders, who had hinted at harming Bosch.

Elsewhere, Honey launches a scathing attack on Archer on-air, as Bosch's phone buzzes with calls from Shelia. Rushing to the Gallagher offices, long after business hours have concluded, Bosch discovers the doors ajar, an ominous sign. Stepping inside, he embarks on a search for Shelia, each step echoing with anticipation.

The episode concludes on a heart-wrenching note, with Bosch finding Shelia, lifelessly still, a tragic testament to the intricacies and dangers woven into his world.
