Meanwhile, Pilar, Quique, and Jon are awaiting their test results after operating in the contaminated OR. Quique is visibly stressed, and Jon distracts him by taking him dancing. Rocio seems to be doing well, leading May to decide to give their relationship another chance and kiss her in front of everyone. However, once she's gone, Blanca reveals that someone is stealing benzos and amphetamines, and it seems to be Rocio who dismisses it as a minor issue. Blanca catches her shaking and smoking, realizing that she's going through withdrawal but Rocio refuses to take a break, fearing that May will break up with her if she finds out.

Like Quique, Pilar suspects Oscar of relapsing. Oscar is distraught and suffers another breathlessness episode. The test results show he's clean, but the bipolar medication is causing side effects. The only option is to withdraw the medication, leaving him feeling helpless and considering electroshock therapy as a treatment for his bipolar disorder. Pilar is shocked and refuses to give her consent.

Lluis is approached by El Diari, a tabloid, seeking dirt on Nicolas. Wanting to bring him down, Lluis complies, spilling the beans on the hospital's new problems and complaints. Nicolas, on the other hand, worries that Biel may have been infected. Seeing his sincerity, Biel agrees to a family dinner.

El Diari publishes the article, but instead of blaming Nicolas, they blame Patricia for privatizing Sorolla. The hospital is her Hail Mary, and now her image is tarnished. She needs to fix things or she will lose the re-election race.

She fumes with indignation, daring to dismiss Nicolas from his post. He unsheathes his ace in the hole - he's inked a deal with Healock Pharma, their financial backing set to quell all the petty gossip swirling in the tabloids. But it's not enough for Patricia, who insists on unmasking the hidden culprit. Pilar learns of the deal and issues an ultimatum to Nicolas, convinced he's the culprit himself.

Moa delves deeper into Sophie's case, uncovering that scanning equipment can be hacked in real-time to manipulate results. The most shocking revelation is that even the radiologist is not privy to Sophie's scans.

Jessica welcomes a new patient, Elena, an activist fresh from Somalia with a foot infection that she had hoped was insignificant and concealed with a brave front. Jessica empathizes and offers comfort, relishing in the shared experience.

Feeling guilty, Moa avoids Patricia, but in a bid to engage him, she plays the card of seeking his assistance for a boob job. He enlists Jon and claims they need a fresh CAT scan. In the ER, Rocio makes a blunder while checking a patient for a brain hemorrhage, causing him pain. Blanca threatens to have her removed if she doesn't take a leave.

Quique remains stressed, and Jon tries to kiss him. Quique is surprised, and Jon reveals his true motives - he doesn't care about his image; he only sought to evade the Cristabel lawsuit as his ex is hunting for dirt on him to secure full custody.

Having worked in Sudan, Jessica enlists Biel for Elena's case. He's glad they're talking again, but she becomes uncomfortable and refocuses on the case. Elena has gangrene, and they use a delivery room to perform an amputation below the knee. Biel pities Elena, and Jessica points out that this is a consequence of her fear. After the surgery, Elena wakes up, calling out Jessica for her cruelty. Jessica is confused as Elena should have been under anesthesia. She tells Lluis something is wrong with the new anesthesia, and they need to stop Nicolas.

Pilar realizes the urgency to consider Oscar's well-being and reluctantly agrees to the electroshock therapy. As the session progresses, Oscar seems to be doing well, but suddenly Pilar faints, causing an awkward silence in the oncology ward. Biel, attempting to alleviate the situation, turns to Sophie for assistance. However, instead of helping, Sophie brusquely dismisses him from the trial. As Biel's final assignment, he is tasked with uploading some scans. It is a shocking revelation when he discovers that the trial results are being tampered with before Sophie sends them to the labs. He shares this with Moa, and the only way to obtain the original data is to access her personal computer. This means Biel must somehow re-enter the trial. Meanwhile, Quique, Jon, and Pilar receive their test results: Pilar has tested positive for Aspergillus, a condition that could prove fatal.
