The scene then cuts to Colin and Sarah having a romantic moment. It turns out their son, Paul, is with Max. Sarah gets up to leave for work, and Colin mentions clearing his schedule to attend one of Paul's events. Sarah asks him not to and implies that it will confuse Paul if Colin shows up. She feels that Colin's work as a crisis auditor makes his schedule unreliable, and she doesn't want to disappoint Paul. A few seconds later, Colin gets a text that he's needed in the office.

At the office, Nikki briefs the team on the car bombing. It turns out Cora Kamp was the chief science officer at Axion Data System (ADS), a company that undertakes top-secret cyber projects for the Pentagon. Nikki instructs the agents to go and find out what Cora was working on and if she had enemies.

The agents visit ADS. Bill distracts the security guard, who informs him that Cora ran data science for their DOD projects. Meanwhile, Colin is in the cafeteria trying to fetch information. He steals Mike's tag and meets Tamara. She informs him that Cora kept a low profile and her death can only be related to work. Cora once told her that if the Joint Chiefs ever wanted to shut down the electrical grids in Beijing, they'd call her.

Elsewhere, Myers is having fun at the bar when two girls approach him for photos. They claim it's for Instagram and one of the girls puts a hat on him. He immediately falls and dies. We can see the same woman who detonated the bomb at the counter, and as the girls run out, the woman leaves as well.

It turns out Cameron Myers is the CEO of CX Aerospace, where they launch military payloads. Miguel informs the team that the medical report indicates that Myers died of poisoning by a VX nerve agent that was applied inside the baseball cap. Bill believes that the two assassinations of military techies are no coincidence.

The agents interrogate the surviving girl, who reveals to them that the woman had promised a payment of $500. Additionally, she had promised an extra $500 if the girls sent the video. She endeavors to describe the woman in as much detail as possible. She also mentions that the woman was at a bar at the time of the incident. With this clue, Gina commences a facial recognition search from the bar's CCTV footage.

In parallel, the agents obtain information on Myers from Ms. Bailey, who hoards technology-related information. Miguel reveals the bomb model, while Gina uncovers the woman's name as Farah Abanpour and her husband's as Joe Abanpour. Joe owns a landscaping business and has migrated from Iran.

With more information on the perpetrators, the agents search the couple's house but find nothing. Bill spots a laptop, but Colin pulls him to the ground as the gadget detonates. It emerges that Farah and Joe are pseudonyms created by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. They have been in the country for 11 years and are graduates of Touro College of Pharmacy. Kevin reveals that DOD is destroying the Iranian nuclear infrastructure. In retaliation, the dormant sleeper cell has been activated. Cora and Myers were directly involved in weapon development. Gina discovers that Bennett at the Sound Point Country Club is the next target. He has a tee time with his teenage son at 1:00 pm.

The agents swiftly raced towards the Sound Point Country Club, determined to avert disaster. However, the bomb detonated, claiming John Bennett's life before they could reach him.

In the office, Kevin unveiled another lead - Leila Karimi, a potential suspect. Colin pursued her, and the two eventually went on a date. He introduced himself as Derek, while she claimed to be from Tehran.

He gathered intel on Rohan Jafari, who had emigrated to the U.S. 20 years ago. They followed him as he dropped a parcel at the park. Colin trailed him while Bill monitored the surroundings. He discovered that Rohan had played them, as the package contained only a swag bag from his dentist's office.

Meanwhile, Colin followed Rohan to Rick's Club American, while Bill arrived with backup. Colin staged a scene with Rohan to distract him from entering the club to meet Farah and Joe. Bill arrested Rohan for espionage against the U.S. and for destruction of property.

At the club, Colin spotted Joe and Farah. He confronted them and informed them of the FBI's presence outside. However, Joe revealed that there was a 20kg C4 bomb inside his van. When Colin doubted him, Joe asked for the bomb squad to check it out. The FBI stormed in, but Colin begged them to back out.

The tension escalated as the couple took hostages. Joe announced that he would drive off with four hostages to the airfield in Ogdensburg, New York, and release them when a private jet landed in Tehran.

Colin met with Bill at the doorway to inform him of Joe's demand. He asked Bill to call Miguel to hack the network in all three nearby cell towers. More police backup arrived. On the other side, Miguel hacked the network satellites near the restaurant.

Surprisingly, Joe told the hostages to get out, as he had changed his plan. Colin tried to distract Joe, buying time for Miguel to complete the hacking. Bill signaled that the towers were neutralized. Joe was arrested, and Farah was shot.

In the office, Nikki and Miguel breathed a sigh of relief. Colin congratulated Bill on a job well done.

In the evening, Colin returned home to Sarah. She said that Paul was boring but showed up for Max's sake. Colin confessed his love for her and admitted that he genuinely cared about her. He thought he was falling in love with her. Sarah confessed the same feelings, and they kissed.

Elsewhere, Ian told Bill that it was difficult to track Colin since he knew how to stay in the shadows. It turned out that Bill had put a tracker on Nikki's ex-husband's car. The surveillance showed that Colin visited Sarah frequently. It appeared that she worked for an international intelligence company with links to espionage, making her a shady spy. Bill told Ian to delete everything and wait for his response.
