Citadel – Season 2 Episode 6 1

Celine and Hutch argue that with Braga dead, his plan will not go through, but Orlick warns that Joanna will do whatever it takes to make sure the plan succeeds. She will kill the Russian president and pay the prime minister for the surveillance now that she has Edison, who can break through the firewall he had created to block the programming. The team agrees that they need Mason if they are to win against Joanna.

Nadia goes to get him and only cuts the cuff after punching him for tasing her and for lying. Meanwhile, Orlick makes a deal with Dahlia. Nadia and Dahlia both advise Mason to figure out who he is because he cannot be both Mason and Kyle; one will win. Mason agrees to help, but first, he needs to take Abby somewhere safe. The team does not trust him, so Nadia offers to accompany them to make sure he goes through with the mission while the rest of them head to Scotland.

Hutch gets sentimental and wonders if he should talk to Orlick about his worries if they fail at stopping Joanna. He is afraid of what would happen to the ones they love in that case, and Orlick tells him that he is doing a good job and protecting Celine and, more importantly, the good in her.

While Nadia, Mason, and Abby arrive at the safehouse, Joanna and her team arrive at the hotel where she will be waiting to activate the assassin. She meets with the Russian prime minister, offering him 12 billion for the control rights of the satellites. The prime minister agrees on the condition that his family is wiped out of the control system, so they are free from their control.

Back at the cabin, Mason tries to talk to Abby, insisting that he loves her, but she tells him that he used to call out Nadia's name in his sleep. She kept it from him because she did not know how to bring it up. Over the years, whenever he looked at her, she always felt like he was hoping he would see Nadia. Abby thinks that Kyle should not blame everything on Mason.

Mason is not able to respond to Abby, so he asks her to stay put and stay safe. He will find her after everything is done, and they can talk about everything then. However, Abby does not plan on staying. She does not want to be the one who waits while he runs off to save the world with Nadia and then comes back to her and Hendrix.

The tension and drama of this episode are palpable as each character grapples with their own motivations and fears while trying to achieve their goals. The stakes are high, and the outcome is uncertain, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats as they wait to see what will happen next.

She inquires of Nadia whether she harbors affection for Mason, and to her relief, Nadia does not refute it. She repeats the question to Mason, and though he doesn't deny it, he insists that he desires Abby and Hendrix. Abby presents him with an ultimatum: if she is the one he truly wants, he should leave with her, grab Hendrix, and leave everything else behind. To her surprise, Mason agrees.

Meanwhile, Edison gains access to the mind control chip and activates it. As Mason turns to apologize to Nadia, who is ready to let him go with Abby, Joanna activates the assassin, and it turns out to be Abby.

Abby shoots Mason twice, sparking a fierce fight. She stabs Nadia, and when Mason rushes to her aid, she stabs him twice in the chest before leaping out of the window and escaping. Nadia helps carry him out of the house and towards the car, where memories of their marriage and intimate moments flood back. He recalls the flowers at their wedding, placing a ring on her finger, the times spent in her arms, and their shared laughter.

When Nadia reaches the car, he apologizes for everything and declares his love for her. Nadia replies that she loves him too. At the end of the episode, Nadia walks to the driver's seat and realizes that Mason has just passed away. She collapses, holding his hand.
