In episode 6 of Deadloch, Dulcie and Redcliffe were preparing to have a sit-down with Skye O’Dwyer. However, when Skye arrived, nothing went as expected. As an added twist, Cath entered the scene just as Skye was about to leave, and she remarked, “Wouldn’t it be unbelievable if Skye was being questioned as the killer?” When Cath mentioned that Skye was going home with her, Dulcie displayed a confused expression.

Abby appeared to discuss her fainting episode with her partner, James. She questioned whether the wood used to create the crucifix and the boat that caught fire were the same. James, as always, played off her words, trying to use the information to his advantage. He took a call from Abby and told her that she needed to pick up the pace for the big day. Abby clarified that she wasn’t delaying the wedding but rather ending things with him.
As a result of Skye claiming to have an alibi, Dulcie began searching for a weakness in her story. Meanwhile, news of Vanessa’s comments about believing Skye O’Dwyer was the murderer became public. Dulcie and Redcliffe decided to resolve the situation by visiting Skye’s house.
Dulcie and Redcliffe discovered that the boat they were examining was one that was up for sale. When they approached the boat’s owners, they learned that Jimmy Cook had purchased it. He had passed away, and they had no idea where he obtained the money, which didn’t make sense. They then learned that the payment had come from Skye O’Dwyer.
Dulcie and Cath had a conversation about their relationship. Dulcie then found a picture on the table and asked about its date. Sam had passed away on June 10, 2017, the very same night that Cath was aware that Skye O’Dwyer had returned to town. This date also coincided with the day of Skye’s father’s disappearance.
The Mayor called Dulcie because Vanessa had ruined the festival. When Vanessa arrived, Dulcie interrupted her and the Mayor, causing them to fight in the water. At that point, several dead bodies emerged from the water, leaving Dulcie shocked while the rest of the city watched in disbelief.
