Deadloch – Season 2 Episode 6

Published: Mar 26 2026

The episode begins with Dulcie holding a rifle and facing Roisin, who seems just as surprised as she is. Apparently, this is Roisin's first shift, and she had no idea what they were about to do. Roisin takes Dulcie aside, away from Jason Wade and the others, as the group loads up on the helicopter and heads off hunting. The pair rushes off in the opposite direction and is eventually picked up by Abby and Leo on the road.

Deadloch – Season 2 Episode 6 1

On the way back, Dulcie learns that detectives are sniffing around their campervan, finding a "breakthrough." It seems they're collecting Eddie's DNA to incriminate her, meaning they need to find Eddie before it's too late. Is Miki part of this?

Eddie is currently at Miki's place. When Al heads home, he's grilled by Miki but quickly sets the record straight. He's not directly part of Jason's hunts, but Spud uses the drone to find the shot crocs, while Jason gets Al to go out and collect them in an esky.

Al is too far deep now, and he can't quit Jason's operation for fear of being killed himself. The blacked-out number on the business card now makes sense: it seems like the second number is the new liaison after the last one "quit." In other words, they were killed.

Do Eddie and Dulcie make up? Eddie heads off when she notices Al has Bushy's shirt. While reflecting on her former partner, Dulcie shows up and apologizes to Eddie again. She tells her she wants to do whatever she can to get her best friend back.

With the pair back on talking terms, Dulcie explains that she thinks Jason ordered a hit on Don because he knew too much. Bushy may have been killed because he was also part of Jason's croc hunts. Eddie explains that the reason she was in Barra Creek that night is because Bushy put in a request for a new partner. They had an argument and he took off, prompting Eddie to drink heavily.

The rage got to Eddie, so she put Sprog, Bushy's dog, in her cruiser and fed the dog to Triple Pet. That's the big secret that's been eating her up inside all this time. She didn't want Cath to know, given all the pictures of dogs she's receiving, and that's why she kept it from Dulcie.

That night, Eddie chose not to follow Bushy, but Pat was present. Dulcie quickly scurries to review the footage, where she discovers that Eddie did indeed return to pick up Bushy, all captured on camera. This revelation comes two hours later, and there's a clear indication of blood on the ground, which explains Ferguson's foot cast.

Meanwhile, Abby and Leo buy time as they search through forensics for DNA matches on the bullets. They discover that Bushy's killer was a redhead, and they inform Dulcie of this finding. This revelation coincides with Dulcie's realization that Ferguson (Moonboot) actually shot himself in the foot that night.

Dulcie calls Eddie to reveal that it was Ferguson who killed Bushy and had set up Eddie. She also discovers that Ferguson is now the new liaison working with Jason. Eddie confronts Ferguson, who then flees.

As Don's funeral approaches, Abby and Leo find Don's torso in the water. His chest has been crushed, indicating fatal crush trauma. It appears he was run over by massive tires matching those of DJ's duck-boat. Leo goes on a hunt for the torso as it floats upstream and ends up at Don Darrell's funeral spot, where her phone connects to the Bluetooth speaker.

This is bad news as Angelo calls to explain that the chainsaw used in Don Darrell's murder was sold by a man who wanted cash. The Darrells hear this and eventually turn on DJ, realizing he was the one who poisoned and then ran over Don. However, DJ didn't chop him up. It was Don's wife, Colleen, who did so out of anger that her dreams of traveling around Australia didn't come true when Don decided to retire. The money he received from Jason was hush money for his operation.

As soon as Don received the money, he crushed DJ's dream of becoming King of the River. DJ and Colleen conspired to eliminate him. However, as they talk, DJ ends up shooting himself in the head. Troy stands up for Amber and forces Colleen to leave, all while Leo watches this transpire in shock.

Who's the real liaison working with Jason? In the midst of this turmoil, Abby discovers that Ferguson wasn't the one who handed out business cards to the backpackers - it was someone else entirely. Dulcie tracks down Ferguson and confronts him, holding him at gunpoint, explaining that he only did this to "fit in with the crowd." Before we can determine exactly who he's referring to, the Superintendent shoots Luke in the head. Dulcie is shocked when she realizes that Superintendent Col is the one working for Jason, with Ferguson as his loyal lackey. Col explains that Bushy didn't meet his expectations and wanted more money after the Frank McCallister situation. When Eddie got involved, he turned to Luke for help, who was supposed to get rid of Bushy and frame Eddie for it, but obviously, that didn't work out. Col wants her to be part of this investigation, brushing off what they're doing as "smoothing the pipelines."

Is Jason stopped? Unfortunately, Eddie is in a tight spot as Jason is currently hunting her. Dulcie calls out for her, knowing her best friend is in trouble. However, Dulcie stands up to Col and refuses to be intimidated. Given that the backpackers remember the Superintendent's face, regardless of whether Dulcie lives or not, everybody will know who he is by morning. Realizing he has no other way out, the Superintendent shoots himself in the head.

With the dirty cops ousted, Dulcie catches up to Eddie just as Jason holds her at gunpoint. Knocking him down, a crocodile suddenly appears in the river and takes Jason into the water. On the heels of this, Pat rings and asks for backup. Mav has apparently stolen Dulcie's camper and she's determined to get him off the road. When she catches up, Pat fires her gun blindly and shoots dead... Colleen! It was Colleen who tried to drive off, not Mav. However, this also means that Pat, who has been on edge for a while now after the earlier prank calls, is banished from the town and now faces murder charges.

How does Deadloch season 2 end? With the case resolved, Abby and Leo are heading off on a Croatian booze cruise, but Leo isn't quite as enthusiastic and explains that she's a bit old for that! Miki and Eddie are now together too, while Dulcie is heading off with Cath to retire properly. She and Eddie are still on good terms and the pair hug it out after patching up their differences. Finally, Cath and Dulcie head out in their camper and catch up with some storm chasers.
