In the opening of Heartbreak High season 3's Episode 1, Amerie narrates how high school has been a rollercoaster ride that's almost taken her down. As graduation looms on the horizon, Quinni, the school captain, is in the midst of interviewing senior students for the graduation video. It's revealed that after the fire, the school lost several classrooms and had to improvise. However, things are looking up, and a lot has changed since then.
Sasha and Missy's friendship has fizzled out after Missy started dating Spider. Thankfully, Darren and Ca$h are doing well. Quinni's efforts to create a sensory room for neurodivergent students have also flourished. Zoe remains steadfast in her celibacy and abstinence club, while Amerie is determined to improve her grades and leave dumb decisions behind her.
But unfortunately, none of them are vibing with Sasha, who they feel is abusing her power as the vice captain. On Muck day, Sasha insists on using environmentally friendly products, but they hate her for it. In retaliation, they shoot their toy guns in her direction. Boys from St Bruno's sneak in and steal the school's mascot head, ruining the Muck Day celebration. Amerie recognizes one of the boys, who we soon learn is her new boyfriend, Noah.
After the incident, Principal Woodsy tries to calm down the senior class and asks them to focus on the upcoming finals and graduation. However, they all insist that the incident has ruined their school spirit, so they need to retaliate. Meanwhile, Quinni continues to interview the senior students about where they see themselves in five years. Ca$h just wants to be with Darren and run a successful tattoo parlour. Darren dreams of being a glamorous actor who is still dating Ca$h.
The episode sets the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the season as the students navigate their final months at Heartbreak High.
Sasha harbors an ardent desire to embark on a business venture that resonates with her core values. Missy aspires to become an extraordinary athlete, while Spider loyally shadows her every move. Zoe dreams of becoming a renowned storyteller and author, while Ant yearns to fulfill his mother's wishes and emulate Jesus as a carpenter. Amerie envisions herself as a celebrated psychologist, perhaps even living adjacent to Chris Hemsworth, while Harper remains uncertain about her future aspirations. Quinni is preoccupied with the loss of her footage from Muck Day due to water bombs.
Later, Amerie enquires about the mascot head from Noah, who reveals that Seb had taken it but planned to return it. The group tries to convince Seb to bring it back, but he stubbornly refuses. Harper prepares to leave for her part-time job. As Seb and Noah depart, the group insists on retaliating. Amerie reminds Harper that they need to focus on their studies and passing their finals without distractions.
That evening, Noah assists Amerie with her studies, but their interaction leads to an unexpected connection. The following day, Woodsy, Sasha, and Quinni confront St. Bruno's Principal along with Seb and Johnson. The girls directly accuse the boys of disrupting their Muck Day. Seb and Johnson vehemently deny the accusations. Sasha's frustration boils over, prompting her to dare Seb to remove his pants and prove he wasn't one of the streakers. The situation escalates until the principals intervene and end the meeting.
Later, Seb informs Noah that Amerie is online stalking Malakai, but after Amerie clarifies it was a misunderstanding, Noah lets it go. She warns Seb to mind his own business and stop causing trouble. He informs her where he left the mascot and sends her a picture.
After school, Harper pleaded with Amerie to leverage her friendship with Noah to retrieve the mascot head. However, Amerie declined, accusing Harper of prioritizing Noah over their friendship. She also confessed that she had failed her trials and no longer believed they would attend the same college together. Amerie encouraged Harper to persevere and ignore the cruel, derogatory comments made by Seb. She pointed out that Harper had a lot on her plate, such as holding down two jobs, and it was okay for her to struggle. To lift Harper's spirits, Amerie broke into Noah's school and stole a bust of their saint. She brought it back to school and asked the others to help her enact a retaliation plan. They decided to leave the bust at the carnival under the alias "Operation Headjob" since Harper worked there. They thought it would be easy. Sasha interrupted, and they hid the bust and their plan from her. She suggested retaliating by erasing the saint from their rival school's history. They all agreed, and she left to gather dirt on St. Bruno's saints.
Elsewhere, Darren and Spider mocked Zoe about a new smut online novel that was going viral at school. She insisted she didn't write it, but they continued to tease her about it.
The scene shifted to Amerie hanging out at Noah's place. He returned with the mascot head, but it was too damaged to be saved. After school, the group headed to the carnival and tried to blend in while waiting for the place to close for the day. Amerie was shocked to run into Malakai, who had returned to help his dad pack up the house at Missy's invitation. Ant was thrilled to see him.
Quinni and Darren worked hard to distract Amerie from Malakai's return. However, they found themselves alone after getting trapped in the horror house. She accused him of leaving without saying goodbye. Malakai asked about his letter, and she clarified that she never received one. He asked what he wrote, and he admitted that he opened up about things he was scared to tell her. He was about to go into detail when Liam, the son of the carnival owner, interrupted them.
Meanwhile, Darren won a gift for Quinni, and the rest of the group continued having fun. Quinni later ran into Sasha, who was looking after her young brothers. For a brief moment, Quinni panicked when she dropped her new gift, and Sasha helped her pick it up.
After the carnival closed, the group, along with Malakai, hid in a truck and waited for everyone to leave. Once they got the perfect opportunity, they set off to pin the bust on one of the rides. Spider refused to go up, so Malakai offered instead. Suddenly, the ride started running. Unfortunately, things got even more out of hand when Clancy, Jackie's boyfriend, saw them. He rushed to confront them. Malakai remained behind to untie the bust and was nearly caught. He jumped from the ride and ended up hurting his arm. Clancy, on the other hand, got knocked off the ride and fell to the ground. Instead of helping him, the group ran away.
