Episode 5 of "Dear Killer Nannies" commences in 1988, where Rodrigo teaches Juan how to ride a bike at their new apartment complex, Monaco. Juan explains that the high-security building is nestled in an affluent part of the city, while Pablo’s enemies send detectives to photograph the building for a future attack. Meanwhile, Victoria arranges private lessons for Juan to help him graduate, but he shows no interest. Back at Hacienda Nápoles, Lagaña, Tina, and El Dorado discuss US prisons, with Lagaña sharing a hyperbolic story.

Juan calls Lagaña to inquire about Rodrigo’s whereabouts and is disappointed to learn that he is on a mission with Angie. Elsewhere, Angie and Rodrigo follow Garcia Zárate, who desires the deportation of Pablo’s family to US prisons, and learn about his connection to Angie’s sister. That night, Juan overhears his parents discussing business and offers to join them. Pablo informs him that Victoria has purchased a vintage portrait and is attempting to keep the family safe before leaving for work.
The next day, the nannies play hide and seek with Juan in the apartment, where several artworks are placed. Juan notices Angie flirting with Rodrigo and questions him about it. Shortly thereafter, the building guard Renè asks the nannies to leave when Jerry calls them. Juan is left alone in the apartment. Meanwhile, the nannies disguise themselves and go to Garcia’s house to carry out their mission.
Angie panics upon seeing her sister’s husband and is unable to act. Tina shoots the man, but Garcia’s men retaliate, leading to a shootout. Tina, Rodrigo, Lagaña, and El Dorado manage to escape with an injured Angie. Back at home, Victoria watches news reports about the failed attack. The nannies discuss the mission, and El Dorado blames Angie, while Lagaña accuses Rodrigo of distracting her.
Rodrigo's despair leads him to a devastating decision, turning to drugs for the first time. Angie, at the hospital, receives a devastating blow – she learns she was pregnant and tragically lost the baby during the attack. Encountering her own sister, who turns a cold shoulder, Angie returns home in a state of intoxication, oblivious to Rodrigo's waiting presence.
Elsewhere, Pablo and Jerry grapple with the escalating conflict as the Cali Cartel obstructs their drug routes. Simultaneously, cartel members plant a bomb in a car outside the Monaco building. Swiftly, Pablo dispatches the nannies to save Juan, Manuela, and Victoria. The explosion rocks the area, yet the family miraculously survives.
Pablo reunites with them and escorts them to Victoria's mother's house. Furious at the Cali Cartel's handiwork, he vows to bring them down. The narrative shifts to 1994, where Victoria strives to relocate Juan and Manuela from Colombia. Several countries cruelly refuse them entry. A lawyer suggests legally altering their names as a means of safe departure. Over the following days, Juan contemplates new identities for himself, Andrea, and Manuela. The episode concludes with the lawyer informing them that Mozambique is willing to grant Juan entry and protection.
This passage captures the emotional turmoil and dramatic events that unfold, painting a vivid picture of the characters' struggles and triumphs amidst a complex web of conflict and betrayal.
