In the opening of Finding Her Edge episode 2, Brayden and Adriana are seen skating together, but their performance is marred by a lack of synchronization. Camille, their coach, suggests exploring their connection, but the results are not promising.

Meanwhile, Freddie arrives for his training, and Camille realizes she is running behind. Later, Adriana explains to Freddie why she is considering partnering with Brayden, despite his cocky demeanor. Freddie reminds her that she hurt his feelings when she rejected him as a partner and asks for a chance to be friends again, but he doesn't receive a response.
Camille then tries to convince Brayden that Adriana could help him change his reputation. His cocky nature has not earned him a favorable standing with judges and the media, and Camille insists that Adriana could help him alter that perception.
At breakfast, Will asks Adriana about her partnership with Brayden. She is not thrilled that he will be sticking around. However, her dad encourages her to regain her confidence. Meanwhile, Brayden stops by the hospital to say goodbye to Elise. She is shocked to learn that he was considering partnering with Adriana and relieved to hear that he is leaving. Will finds them kissing, but Brayden leaves before he can say much.
Back at the house, Riley comforts Adriana after learning that her partnership with Brayden is not happening. She mentions how lucky she is to have Freddie and complains about Katya, who is trying to take Elise's spot as the leader. Adriana immediately confronts Katya and reminds her that she is not above the rules.
At the hospital, the doctor exhorts Elise to be patient in her recovery journey. Her father is unwavering in his belief that Elise is extraordinary and will heal at an accelerated pace. While Elise concurs, fear lingers within her. Meanwhile, JJ and Freddie form a bond as he clarifies that he and Riley are not in a relationship. Freddie opens up about his past with Adriana and the reasons behind his return to the Russo rink.
At the house, Elise accuses Adriana of attempting to steal her spotlight and position as the leader. The fact that Adriana is planning the annual Lucky Bonfire Party only intensifies her jealousy. She takes offense when Adriana explains that she was merely trying to be helpful. Elise brings up her attempt to partner with Brayden, calling Adriana a "failed ice dancer" who will never surpass her. Ouch!
To alleviate her frustrations, Adriana heads to the gym where she finds Freddie. They agree to hang out after their workout on the treadmill. Later, they have an honest conversation in the jacuzzi, where they make up and come close to kissing, only to be interrupted by Riley.
Meanwhile, Maria confides in Charlie that she has a crush on Ben Woo. She hopes to make a move on him at the bonfire and get her first kiss. Elise goes on a shopping spree to feel better and runs into Weston, who offers to help her carry her things. She eventually invites him and his team to the party.
At the same time, Katya essentially takes over party planning and orders everyone around. Maria uses this opportunity to confess to Ben, who quickly turns her down, claiming he wants to focus on his craft.
Elsewhere, Adriana pursues Brayden and successfully convinces him to give their relationship another chance. To demonstrate her passion, Adriana breaks into an impromptu dance, inviting him to join her. The chemistry between them is palpable, and it is enough to change Brayden's mind.
Back at the rink, Will is determined to find a new way to save the rink. Camille suggests her ice dancing classes, but he dismisses the idea, believing that ice dancers cannot be compared to figure skaters. She then shifts the conversation to Brayden and Adriana, suggesting creating a package to convince Brayden to stay. Although Will believes Brayden is trouble, he has no choice but to try to win him over as the future of the rink depends on him getting an athlete to the world championships. He has no idea that Adriana has already convinced Brayden to stay.
Meanwhile, tensions escalate at the party as Katya takes control and dampens the mood. Elise arrives with the hockey players, adding fuel to the fire. The power struggle between Katya and Elise intensifies, and Maria opts to light the bonfire herself. The emotional tension reaches a boiling point when Brayden and Adriana show up. Freddie tries to hide his jealousy, while Weston takes offense, sensing there is more between Brayden and Elise. In the meantime, Brayden seeks advice from Freddie about Adriana.
The sheriff, who is also Weston's mom, drops by Will's place. She has heard that the hockey team is attending the party and wants to ensure that things don't get out of hand. She knows that the hockey team can be a handful. Will insists that his girls are not troublemakers and invites her for tea as they wait for the kids to return.
Back at the party, the tension mixed with alcohol only escalates things further. Adriana shares with Maria and Riley how she convinced Brayden to stay. The same song they danced to on the bus comes on, and Brayden invites her to dance again. The sight triggers Elise, who gets between them to ask what changed Brayden's mind. Weston joins in to confront Brayden and warn him to stay away from Elise. A fight ensues, and within a short time, the hockey team steps in to help Weston. Freddie feels compelled to join and help Brayden. The girls call Will, and Weston's mom heads out to stop the fight.
Upon the sheriff's arrival, the Russo team returns home to find Will waiting for them with a stern expression. He heavily scolds them and reminds them of their early schedule, sending his girls, Katya and Brayden, behind to receive a warning. He instructs Brayden to wait for him in his office and gives his daughters another stern warning, while placing Katya in her place. Maria is disappointed that she got scolded and didn't even get to enjoy herself at the party. To comfort her, Charlie gives her her first kiss.
In his office, Will agrees to have Brayden on the Russo team as long as he doesn't date any of his daughters. He also makes Brayden promise to behave, and Brayden accepts the conditions. Later, Adriana shares her concerns about whether she is good enough with Maria. The little one encourages her to be thrilled to be back on the ice. At the end of the episode, Adriana sees Brayden going into Elise's room.
