The episode begins with Brayden and Adrian practicing their routine. Despite their initial struggles to synchronize their movements, they are gradually making progress. On the home front, Will offers encouragement to Adriana and discusses the possibility of securing sponsorship deals. He suggests that a magazine feature on their team could pique the interest of potential sponsors.
Simultaneously, Will attempts to reach out to Elise, who is currently staying at Weston's house. However, Elise has been ignoring him, so he enlists Weston's mom to speak with her. Later, Adriana confides in Brayden about the upcoming interview. It becomes apparent that he is anxious about dealing with the media, recalling his experience with the paparazzi during his parents' divorce. Although he was just a child at the time, the media stalked him at school and at home.
The following morning, the media team arrives at the Russo home for the interview. Led by Fraser, they quickly set up their cameras. Initially, Brayden is reluctant to speak with Fraser, but Adriana assures him that she will answer all the questions on his behalf and promises that the interview will go smoothly.
Throughout most of the interviews, the athletes discuss how everything is going great. However, tensions are starting to simmer on the surface, with Elise nowhere to be seen. Will lies to Fraser that she is at physiotherapy. Meanwhile, Camille thinks Will is getting ahead of himself since the team hasn't even made the qualifiers yet. He dismisses her suggestion to focus on training instead of the press.
Feeling bored and frustrated, Elise drops by the house. She is shocked to find the team posing for a magazine photo shoot. Worse, Adriana is wearing a pair of earrings that her mom gave her. Elise confronts Will and accuses him of putting too much pressure on Adriana, who can't handle it.

Later, Maria tries to comfort Adriana as they prepare for the qualifiers. Brayden interrupts to request another practice session, which goes well. After the team leaves for qualifiers, the younger members decide to raid Katya's closet. At the qualifiers, Freddie and Adriana tease each other about being rivals. To ease their nerves, the team breaks into an impromptu dance number. Unfortunately, their celebratory dance is cut short by Fraser's scathing interview going public. The interview article dampens the team's spirits, portraying Adriana as a potential failure. Riley does her best to get Adriana out of her head.

Someone from the club takes a picture of their steamy make-out session. The following morning, they end up late for their rehearsals before the qualifiers. They both admit that they enjoyed themselves on the previous night. Finally, the qualifiers start, and each team brings their best. Destiny and Sean, the voltage team, impress the judges. After their performance, Destiny tries to get into Adriana's head. She mentions that she is trending online after someone leaked the pictures of her kiss with Brayden. The internet is calling them #Braydriana, and everyone is excited for them, thinking they are a real couple.
