Meanwhile, Elise returns to Weston's house, weighed down by guilt for what she's done. The next morning, Adriana confides in Maria about the kiss, leaving Maria confused about how much Adriana is allowing Elise to get away with. Adriana opts for a run to calm her frayed nerves.

Downstairs, Will and Camille discuss a hair product sponsorship with Emmy. Emmy tries to flirt, but Will subtly brushes her off. Camille tries to encourage him to date more, but he calls her out as a workaholic.

Later, Adriana and Brayden discuss their next moves. Brayden is willing to go with whatever Adriana wants, apologizing for walking out on her during the qualifiers. They decide to launch a fake online relationship to garner more attention for their pairing.

Will and Camille then announce the new changes following the sponsorships they've secured. The team excitedly chooses the hair products they need. Freddie apologizes to Adriana and explains that technically, she has no reason to be mad at him. She storms off, even angrier, saying they're just competitors.

During their fitting session, Riley confesses that she was only confused by her feelings for Freddie. Seeing him kiss Elise has made her realize that she's afraid of losing him as a dance partner. She points out Adriana's privilege due to her family background. They make a pact not to let the boys come between them. Adriana later repeats this to Camille, who advises her to focus on what she can control.

Elsewhere, as Brayden overhears Freddie's conversation with his mom at the local diner, he learns that Freddie's mother is struggling financially and unable to pay for the coffee. Without hesitation, Brayden quietly pays the bill, and Freddie follows him outside to confront him. He makes Brayden promise to keep his mom's visit a secret.

Meanwhile, at a restaurant in town, Elise runs into Maria, who accuses her of cheating on Weston and calls her out for her entitled behavior. Hearing the news, Weston breaks up with Elise and kicks her out of his house. Left with no other options, Elise returns home. When Weston's mom invites Will to dinner while dropping off Elise, he declines the invitation. Immediately, Elise starts complaining about the changes at the house.

She vents to Will about how she feels after missing out on the chance to go to the world championship. As for Adriana, she convinces Brayden that they need to come up with a new routine for the world championships. She wants to find something that suits them better. They head to the music studio and settle on the song they danced to on the train. Once they start practicing the new routine, they feel more in sync.

With Elise moving back in, she runs into Freddie. They talk about their kiss and agree that it should never happen again. They both admit that they are struggling emotionally and that it was a mistake. Elise suggests that he find someone to talk to.

In this vivid narrative, the emotions and actions of the characters are portrayed in a more expressive and engaging manner, making the story more captivating and immersive for the reader.

Freddie finds herself drawn into a conversation with Brayden, where he reveals that his mother is an alcoholic who has returned, professing to be sober. Her doubts linger, remembering how often she has been let down in the past. Brayden, too, opens up about his emotionally distant and wealthy parents. Adriana interrupts their conversation and invites Brayden to the studio for a practice session.

Later, Maria attempts to get Adriana to confront Elise about her behavior, but Adriana chooses the high road, refusing to engage in a confrontation. Camille interrupts and tells her that she likes the new routine. Adriana worries that she is no longer paying tribute to her mother. Camille leads her and Maria to the attic to find Sara's things for inspiration. Elise joins them, and they discover Sara's old costume, deciding to remake it for Adriana's performance.

Later, Adriana shows Brayden some designs for their new costumes, and he agrees to one that honors her mother. The conversation turns to Freddie, and Brayden urges her to be more considerate, hinting that Freddie is going through a lot. He also thanks Freddie for helping him with the old choreography.

At home, Elise tries to apologize to Maria, but Maria refuses to accept her half-hearted apology. She calls out Elise for how mean and cruel she has been lately. Elise tries to use self-pity as an excuse, but Maria advises her to stop doing that. Finally, they make up, and Maria helps Elise overcome her fear of ice-skating.

At the dance studio, Freddie apologizes to Adriana again, this time more openly and sincerely. At home, Will breaks down emotionally after seeing Sara's old costume. Camille comforts him, understanding the loss he feels.

At the end of the day, Elise apologizes to Adriana for kissing Freddie. Adriana asks why she has been targeting her for a while now. Her sister admits that she has been feeling jealous and tries to use her injury as an excuse. Adriana insists that Elise has been intentionally hurting and sabotaging her and warns her to stay out of her life. Elise is shocked to see Adriana finally standing up for herself.
