Jim and Tabitha, roused by Kenny's news of Sara's return, hastened to the church in search of her. Upon their arrival, Boyd informed them of Sara's decision to remain outside the confinement of the box. Tabitha, in a fit of rage, threatened Sara before the pair departed.

Ethan, consumed with curiosity, pleaded with his parents to grant him a visit with Sara. In the meantime, Kristie and Marielle shared a meal in bed, Kristie's mind swirling with doubts about her identity.

Sara, in search of a cherished ceramic ornament that belonged to her brother, ventured to her former home, but was chased away by the new inhabitants. Victor, appearing unexpectedly at the bar, offered Jade a deal: he would share all he knew if Jade played the violin for him. The two ventured into the woods, Jade's bow dancing gracefully over the strings.

Tabitha and Jim relented and allowed Ethan to speak with Sara. As he found her near their old house, Ethan assured Sara that she was a monster he would never fear. Boyd, burdened with guilt, confessed to Donna at Colony House, revealing Sara's return. Donna chastised him, accusing him of betraying the only thing left: people's faith in him. She also revealed that all of Boyd's actions stemmed from his failed relationship with Abby.

Deep in the woods, Victor led Jade to a hidden trove of old vehicles. He sat atop his mother's car and requested Jade to play "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" on her violin. Elgin stumbled upon Sara at the church, and the two shared a heartfelt conversation. Sara confessed that she had killed her brother, shocking Elgin to the point of leaving.

Sara, seeking solace, ventured to the diner. Tian Chen confronted her, berating her actions before handing her a box of her belongings and warning her never to return. Outside, Kenny lunged at Sara, ripping the box from her grasp and spilling its contents. He smashed the cherished ornament before snarling at Sara to stay away from his mother.

After Marielle gave Kristie a haircut, Tilly appeared, offering Kristie the morphine she had and relaying news of Sara's return. This news spurred Kristie to flee before Marielle could intercept her. Victor revealed to Jade that the man in the photograph was named Christopher. Initially liked, he had changed after everyone's death and the appearance of the sinister symbol.

Tabitha arranged building blocks near the cave she and Victor had escaped. Soon, multiple children emerged from the woods, seemingly touching her. She screamed, but when Jade arrived, the children had vanished. Jim shared the news of the mysterious radio voice with Boyd, urging them to work together.

Boyd, grappling with pain from the worms in his arm, visited Tian Chen at the diner. Meanwhile, Marielle stealthily stole morphine, and Randall, determined to create a workspace, hauled seats from the bus onto the roof.
