In the fifth episode of "How to Get to Heaven From Belfast," we're transported back to 1997, where we meet Margo Heaney, a doctor who has chosen Greta as her test subject for adoption. In the present, Greta wakes up to find Feeney, a bubbly but erratic girl, already in charge. Feeney explains that her parents were murdered and that Booker had stepped up to take care of her. Greta is eager to see her daughter, who doesn't even know she exists, but Feeney reassures her that people like them "always survive."
On the plane, the girls manage to keep hold of the box and prevent Booker from getting her hands on it. Unfortunately, Saoirse's phone is off, so she misses a voicemail from Liam, detailing the Doll Complex book and Greta as the author. Liam has to record it multiple times because he keeps messing up.
Back in Knockdara, Andrew continues his investigation and turns his attention to Owen. He tries to dissuade him from digging too deeply, but Andrew isn't going anywhere and he's determined to keep searching regardless.
Dara, Robyn, and Saoirse manage to escape from Booker and airport security, looking deeper into Greta's past. It appears that Greta has lied about everything she's told them. Andrew brings what he's discovered to Liam, who starts to shift some of the suspicion towards the girls, given that they've intentionally kept things from him.
The trio is preoccupied with Booker, who manages to corner them at a church. She calls them while they're inside, explaining that the bomb was a warning and that she's desperate for the box. She's not about to reveal what's inside it, as it will "infect them completely" (figuratively, I guess, unless there's a deadly virus waiting to be unleashed!).
The girls, their heads turned towards the outside, smacked Booker on the head with the box, deciding that they would not deal with the devil. However, their situation went from one nightmare to another when they wound up on the Late Late Show. Interestingly, the showrunner for Murder Code was actually there, and she took all the credit for the show's current success. Saoirse heckled from the crowd and ended up on stage for her troubles, completely out of it. She revealed her friend's lies but also had an epiphany about the box and what the code might be.
When Saoirse realized what the code was, she told the others, and they opened it that night to find a Dictaphone. Liam then showed up and took them out... but they were stopped by Booker, who held them at gunpoint. After shooting Liam, she forced them to drive her away.
