The fourth episode of "Just One Look" unfolds with Lewinski's liberty regained, accompanied by Sandra who, for the time being, remains resolutely silent, refusing to speak to the media. Meanwhile, Jacek stumbles through a maze of cornstalks towards a nearby farm, only to be met with a barking dog and an uncooperative farmer, leaving him thwarted in his attempts to seek help. Instead, fate conspires against him as he finds himself once again in the clutches of his captor, unceremoniously shoved back into the trunk of his own car.

Just One Look – Season 1 Episode 4 1

Karol arrives to visit Greta, probing into her connections with Sandra and Jacek. She ponders that Jacek always harbored a yearning for escape, perhaps a truth not far-fetched. Regardless, Karol assents to watch over her, deploying his men to keep a discreet eye on her well-being.

Kamila persists in her vigil by her husband's hospital bedside, while Officer Dalewski grills her about her ties to Maryla. Sensing a deeper narrative, Dalewski notices Kamila's habitual vigil by her window each night. With gentle persuasion, Kamila unravels the complexities surrounding her troubled marriage. Her husband's battle with depression and her own yearning for something more have led her to envy Maryla's life, filled with admirers. Though it doesn't seem to amount to an affair, the depths of their connection remain somewhat obscured.

Dalewski is then summoned to a parking lot where Kowalik's car, bearing a grisly cargo in its trunk, has been discovered. The grim discovery mirrors the modus operandi of the ongoing kidnapping saga. Inside the vehicle lies a collection of photographs featuring Jacek and his children, adding another layer of intrigue to the narrative.

As a consequence of these events, Dalewski summons a sketch artist for Kamila, confident in her clear view of the killer. Armed with this visual aid, Dalewski is firmly convinced they are hunting a sociopath—a predator who targets lonely women through social media, exploiting their homes to sustain his sinister operations.

Elsewhere, Greta experiences a harrowing encounter when a man intrudes into her house, threatening her children. When she arrives at the school, a chilling phone call instructs her to abandon the case and retreat. To her further dismay, she discovers a tracker attached to her car. Consequently, Karol's security team conducts a thorough search of her house to ensure no breach of security has occurred.

At a loss for alternatives, Greta visits Borys at the station, but she is astonished to learn that he no longer works at the DA's office. Realizing he deceived her, Greta confronts Borys. He dismisses it casually, claiming he didn't want their collaboration to start on a sour note. He hasn't been the same detective since learning of his daughter's murder, which adversely affected his work. Borys is convinced that both cases are intertwined and he intends to stir things up, knowing that people make mistakes when they're off their guard.

Meanwhile, Jimmy appears to see Sandra for a conversation. He abruptly declares that "he's alive" and waves aside any monetary incentives. Despite their prior agreement, the revelation that "he" (presumably Jacek) is still alive throws everything into disarray, and Jimmy is bent on revenge.

Sandra is visibly shaken, and this carries over when Karol and Greta arrive shortly after. Greta is startled when Karol physically confronts her, grasping the lawyer's arm and warning her against implicating Rafal in the fire. He also employs guilt-tripping tactics towards Greta, reminding her that if she hadn't left Rafal that night, he might still be alive. This stems from his jealousy and heartbreak over Jimmy and Greta's close bond at the concert.

In the wake of Koral's threats, Sandra cancels her press conference, prompting Greta to part ways with Karol. However, Karol isn't about to let her go easily; he has his men stationed at the children's school.
