Love Me – K-drama Episode 4 1

Meanwhile, Jun-seo, who is struggling academically in his master's degree, seeks help from his friend Hye-on, an aspiring novelist and current editor. It's here that we start to sense that Hye-on might be interested in him romantically, though Jun-seo never considers her as a potential partner.

Later, Jun-kyung and Jun-seo discover that the columbarium has mistakenly given them a previously booked space and asks them to move their mother's urn. Since Jin-ho is away on a trip, they aren't able to inform him about the issue back home.

That night, the siblings reflect on the past few years as a family. This is when they realize how difficult life must have been for their mother, especially when the electricity suddenly goes out in their house, forcing her to wait in complete darkness, alone and frightened.

In Jeju, Jin-ho hallucinates his wife in the bathroom, where she wishes him well and encourages him to move on and start a new life, as he comes to terms with his growing feelings for Ja-yeong. Overwhelmed, he locks himself in his room, prompting a worried Ja-yeong to have the door forcefully opened out of fear for his life.

This is when Ja-yeong opens up about her life after her husband's passing and her attempt to end her life, only to stop because she pitied the life she still had left to live. Determined to start anew, the two attend a festival together and spend a glorious time in each other's company. They later part ways at the airport, where Jun-kyung and Jun-seo arrive to pick Jin-ho up.

Back home, the family decides to bury the urn under a tree, bidding Jun-kyung's mother a final goodbye. Later, Jin-ho reunites with his tour group, spending time with Ja-yeong and the rest, and genuinely enjoying life after a very long time.

Elsewhere, another wave of loneliness washes over Jun-kyung when she returns to a dark, cold home without Do-hyun's presence. Remembering Su-jin's husband's advice about giving Do-hyun a chance to explain (and driven by her own loneliness), she finally calls Do-hyun and asks him to tell his side of the story.

The two meet in a park, where Do-hyun reveals that his ex-girlfriend had gotten pregnant with their child when he was just 20, shortly after their breakup, and subsequently moved to Germany with their son. He recently reunited with his now 15-year-old son, who wished to stay in Korea. As he shares his story, Jun-kyung admits that she had already forgiven him the moment she saw him and confesses how much she likes him.

Meanwhile, Jin-ho and Ja-yeong continue to grow closer, with Jin-ho visiting her house. As the episode comes to a close, Jin-ho decides to truly pursue her, changing his mind about going home and returning to ask if he can spend the night with her.

In the park, Do-hyun's words are filled with emotion as he recounts the tumultuous journey of his son's birth and the subsequent years of their separation. Jun-kyung listens intently, her eyes reflecting a mix of sympathy and understanding. She admits that despite everything that has happened, she has always had a soft spot for Do-hyun and that seeing him again has only strengthened her feelings.

Elsewhere, Jin-ho's decision to spend the night with Ja-yeong marks a turning point in their relationship. The intimacy of his visit to her house has blossomed into something deeper, and his sudden change of heart signifies a commitment to explore their connection further. As the episode winds down, it becomes clear that both couples are on the cusp of new beginnings, each in their own unique way.
