Love You to Death – Season 1 Episode 2 1

At work, Marta presents her latest campaign with a spring in her step, only to receive a lukewarm reception from her boss, Ivan, who proceeds to appropriate her ideas and tweak them to his liking. However, Marta's pregnancy begins to take its toll, leading her to feel unwell and seek medical attention. The doctor confirms she is 12 weeks pregnant, setting the stage for a new chapter in her life.

Determined to gain insights into parenthood, Marta ventures to a local park, where she finds herself mesmerized by children at play. Her observant gaze, however, misleads a concerned parent into accusing her of predatory behavior. The ensuing dialogue, marked by dark humor and wit, concludes with the parent and child hastily departing the scene.

Returning to her apartment, Marta is visited by her sister Ana, who lambasts her for her irresponsibility and warns of the potential disaster her pregnancy could entail. Meanwhile, Raul receives messages from Marta, whom he hasn't replied to yet, as he's influenced by his coworkers at the dealership, who chant, "fuck or die," egging him on. Even the cleaner joins in, only to be swiftly silenced.

Despite Ana's influence, including probing questions like "are you an adult?", Marta eventually agrees to meet Raul that evening. Edu, acting as Raul's emotional support, encourages him to seize the moment and live a little, with or without commitment. The pair heads out for drinks, with Marta opting for pineapple juice, while Edu keeps a low profile, subtly offering his friend moral support.

Their evening escalates into a night out clubbing, where passion ignites between Marta and Raul in a tender kiss. As the night progresses, Raul begins to feel the effects of a drug slyly slipped to him by Edu. Marta, recognizing the signs, quickly rushes him to the hospital. In this vulnerable moment, they peel away their facades, confessing their true selves to each other.

With Marta's pregnancy as a catalyst for change, she realizes the importance of settling down. The couple embraces in a heartfelt goodbye, but the lingering chemistry suggests that this is far from the end of their story. After all, what would be the point of a show without the promise of more to come?
