In the opening of Episode 2 of "Maamla Legal Hai," we find Tyagi diligently filling out the nomination form for the upcoming Bar Association elections. As Mintu attempts to orchestrate a grand display of support for Tyagi by arranging for a group of Patparganj lawyers to sing and dance at the elections office, Tyagi interjects, requesting that Mintu allow him to handle the nomination process on his own.
Upon entering the office, the secretary, M.B. Kazmi, is taken aback to learn that Tyagi has been recommended by a renowned advocate like Wadia. Tyagi impresses Kazmi with a few lines of poetry, as the latter is a fan of Urdu poetry. Concurrently, Advocate Phorey arrives with fireworks and an army of lawyers, engaged in a similar display of support as Mintu had planned for Tyagi.
In the Patparganj court, Sujata assists Ananya in securing her first case and enlists Vishwas's help in the same endeavor. Ananya finds it peculiar that Vishwas is willing to assist her, but agrees to his offer. Meanwhile, Tyagi learns that Phorey has installed a nameplate outside his office with the title "President of the Bar Association." Furthermore, he discovers that Phorey has filed a complaint against Tyagi for assuming that he would win the elections.
Tyagi informs Mintu that this was all part of Phorey's plan and that he was attempting to cast a negative light on Tyagi before the elections, making it appear as though he was being arrogant. Tyagi learns that he has violated a rule and his nomination could be canceled. With no way to prove that Phorey was behind it all, Tyagi agrees to have the Bar Association investigate the matter.
Ananya meets Mr. Buleshwar, an ordinary man seeking monetary compensation for a truck that ran over his buffalo three years ago. Ananya convinces Buleshwar to let her represent him in court. She then meets with Buleshwar's former lawyer who has transitioned into working as a masseuse. She attempts to persuade him to hand over Buleshwar's case so she can represent him in court, but Mangal refuses.
Meanwhile, Munshiji and Mintu discuss Tyagi's next move to counter Phorey's attack. The tension between the two advocates is palpable, and it will be interesting to see how Tyagi manages to navigate this challenging situation and emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.
With renewed determination in his heart, Tyagi leaves his cabin, fueled by a relentless resolve to bring Phorey down. In parallel, Ananya enlists the aid of Vishwas and Sujata to persuade Mangal to relinquish the case of Buleshwar. Vishwas helps Ananya file a complaint against Mangal for delaying Buleshwar's case alongside numerous others. They confront him at his office, threatening to revoke his advocate's license unless he complies. In exchange, Ananya requests Mangal to sign the necessary documents and hand over the case. Mangal dismisses the prospect of his license, asserting that he was making a fortune as a masseuse. Vishwas then proposes using Ananya as the brand ambassador for his company, in return for the case.
Vishwas claims that his shop doesn't require a celebrity ambassador like Ananya but rather a regular woman like Sujata. After some persuasion, Sujata agrees to endorse Mangal's business, and the trio successfully obtains the case of Buleshwar. Meanwhile, Tyagi undergoes an investigation with the Bar Council of Delhi.
During the investigation, Tyagi once again employs his wit, claiming that the nameplate did not belong to him as an individual but to a brand named V.D. Tyagi. He argues that he is an individual - V.D. Tyagi, distinct from the brand bearing the same name. Tyagi further alleges that many other lawyers in the court have nameplates that do not meet the standards of the Bar Council. This argument convinces the Bar Council, and Tyagi is permitted to retain his nomination. Phorey seethes with fury but tries to maintain control as Tyagi exits.
In the Patparganj Court, Ananya is thrilled to represent Buleshwar in her maiden court case. However, she is shocked to learn that the admin office had transferred the case to a different lawyer based on the complaint filed by Ananya, Vishwas, and Sujata. The episode concludes with Sujata regretting endorsing Mangal's company for no apparent reason.
