Episode 3 of "Man on Fire" commences with Melo snapping photographs of Poe and Creasy, posthumously simulating their demise. Her expression belies a deep-seated unease. Curiosity piques Poe, to which Creasy reveals Tappen has dispatched an extraction team to facilitate her exit from the country by midnight. Reluctant to be left alone while Creasy embarks on his mission, he reassures her that she'll be secure in the safehouse with Melo.

Subsequently, Creasy sews a minute remote-controlled bomb beneath Tiago's skin, ensuring he doesn't spoil the trap. Tiago muses on his helplessness as a gang member yet Creasy's choice for a life steeped in violence. Creasy doesn't refute it.
Melo's longing to reunite with her daughter prompts her to rope in her cousin, Beto, to oversee Poe. However, Beto's involvement in a gang war leads him to introduce his inexperienced younger brother, Livro, to guard Poe. Vico, a fellow gang member, warns against this, but Beto desires for Livro to earn his keep and join the gang. Livro's aversion to violence prompts Beto to exhort him to man up. Their unexpected bond with Poe emerges as he too is an orphan. Beto used to look out for him but now despises him for his differences.
A CIA contact presents Creasy with the funds for his mission, also divulging that FRP has been attempting to sway the election, and their leader, Ferraz, is incarcerated. With the fake photos, Tiago contacts Osmar from a warehouse intercom, who orders him to procure a burner phone and wait. However, impatient Creasy compels him to enter the warehouse. Tiago assaults and Creasy kills him. It alerts the warehouse's thugs to Creasy's presence but he escapes.
Poe yearns for an outing and Livro agrees to a brief excursion. They discuss books and chess before encountering Vico.
Alone with Poe, she calls Creasy, pleading for his return as she's terrified. In haste, he drops Melo's card at the mobile store. However, he hangs up on Poe when Osmar calls the burner phone.
The burner's tracker lures Osmar to a parking lot. Simultaneously, the mobile store owner informs Osmar of Melo's card. Elsewhere, Melo shares with Gabi about Creasy and how he can facilitate her daughter Marina's move to the US. She empathizes and wishes to assist but Gabi harbors concerns for her safety.
At the parking lot, Osmar and his men fail to locate Creasy. Frustrated, Ferraz removes Osmar from the mission. Defeated yet defiant, Osmar instructs his men to check on Melo. As they depart, we witness Creasy stealthily enter Osmar's car.
Poe is filled with dread and repeatedly attempts to contact Creasy, who remains unresponsive. She fondly plays with the lucky coin her father had bestowed upon her, a small token of his love and luck. Livro, in a gesture of parting, gifts her a book on chess, revealing that he has been replaced by one of Beto's bodyguards. He begs her to hold on, assuring her that Creasy will return.
As midnight nears, Poe's panic escalates with Creasy's absence. Livro promises steadfastly that she won't be left alone in this predicament.
Meanwhile, Osmar's henchmen ambush Melo, demanding answers regarding Creasy. With a gun pressed against her temple, Melo is compelled to drive them to Poe's location.
At home, Osmar receives a call from his men, informing him that Melo is taking them to Poe. He tucks his son in for the night and, as he exits, Creasy approaches the young boy.
In this tense and emotional scenario, each character's actions and reactions are vividly portrayed, adding depth and urgency to the narrative.
