Episode 3 of "Melo Movie" kicks off with Ko-gyeom and Moo-bi's paths crossing with alarming frequency as neighbors, much to Moo-bi's chagrin. Meanwhile, Ko-gyeom makes every effort to steer clear of her. Nevertheless, fate conspires against him when he serendipitously bumps into Moo-bi reconnecting with her childhood friend, Woo Jeong-hu, who had emigrated to the United States.
Elsewhere, Si-jun and Ju-a have an unforeseen encounter at a movie theater. Their conversation swiftly退化 into a verbal sparring match, with both hurling barbed remarks at each other.
Later, Ko-gyeom finds himself at his brother's housewarming party, where he spends the majority of his time griping about his predicament with Moo-bi, yet failing to devise any viable solution.
Over the ensuing days, Ko-gyeom springs a surprise on Director Mo by showing up as his interviewer. Director Mo is thrilled—and somewhat relieved—to discover that Ko-gyeom possesses genuine talent, a stark contrast to his unremarkable acting career.
Concurrently, Moo-bi chances upon Ju-a at a bar. Both, inebriated and desolate, unload intimate tales of their lives under assumed personas. They even exchange contact information in a melodramatic fashion, only to promptly delete it, convinced they'd rather not cross paths again—until destiny has other plans.
As Moo-bi strides home later that evening, Ko-gyeom silently trails her from afar. However, he is mistakenly identified as a stalker and hauled off to the police station. Fortunately, Moo-bi spots him and intervenes to clarify the misunderstanding. Upon their return home, she finally demands an apology from him, which he offers—albeit without providing any further elaboration.
The following day, Moo-bi's and Ju-a's paths cross once more, albeit in a professional milieu this time. To Moo-bi's surprise, Ju-a is revealed as the author of "Melody," the very script she has been eager to collaborate on. However, Ju-a falters at the prospect, as the narrative is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. She recalls her past assertion to Si-jun, where she confidently stood against selling personal stories merely for a debut, now feeling a pang of hypocrisy. Nevertheless, Moo-bi's persuasions eventually sway her, and Ju-a embarks on tweaking the screenplay.
Meanwhile, Moo-bi finds herself increasingly annoyed by Ko-gyeom's burgeoning popularity in their neighborhood. Her exasperation intensifies when she spots him at her workplace—assigned as the interviewer for her session. During their discourse, Moo-bi confesses her former disdain for films, now regarding them solely as a means to an end, a quest to prove to her father that filmmaking holds lesser significance than he always professed. Ko-gyeom then extends an invitation to watch a movie together, which she promptly declines.
The episode concludes with Ko-gyeom arranging a projector in his backyard, ready to screen a film after Moo-bi returns home. Despite her initial resistance, Moo-bi finds herself inexplicably drawn to join him—albeit from the vantage point of her balcony, where she surreptitiously watches the film alongside him.
