Mrs Playmen – Season 1 Episode 7 1

Meanwhile, Anna pays a visit to Lorenzo, requesting him to stash a gun for her. Chartoux eventually encounters Luigi, who is visibly upset about leaving the gay bar without a thought for their friends or the other gay men who were attacked.

The following morning, the Playmen staff, including Elsa, delve into the topic of birth control pills. Elsa proposes using them as a tool for promoting sexual empowerment and women taking control of their bodies. Mario, Adelina's lawyer, brings news that the American court has ruled in favor of Hugh Hefner, and the magazine cannot be published under the name Playmen in the USA.

Elsa suggests that if Saro was inspired by Playboy for the magazine's name, they should delve into Hefner's naming history. Adelina enlists Steve to help Elsa translate English novels and requests Fr. Rocco to pen an article advocating birth control pills for Catholic female readers. Elsa and Steve sift through various magazines in search of the origin of the term "Playboy."

Anna apologizes to Lorenzo for entrusting him with the gun and decides to return it to her friend. That evening, Andrea catches up with Elsa, reminding her of the sexual assault trial against Ettore. He explains that the photo used by protesters is incomplete and that he was protecting a woman. Elsa finds herself wondering who to trust.

Chartoux meets his informant, who tasks him with finding compromising photos of a politician with a young boy. The informant offers Chartoux a job if he succeeds in his mission. Elsa turns to Luigi to verify Andrea's story through the photo, and Luigi confirms it, providing Elsa with a sense of relief.

Masi discovers the gun in Anna's bag and becomes agitated. He urges her to report it, but she refuses and takes off. Lorenzo picks her up and they head to the protest to return the gun. Masi informs Adelina about the gun and the children who attended the protest, adding a new layer of complexity to the situation.

Adelina urges Elsa to speak with Andrea, imploring him to rescue Lorenzo and Anna from the clutches of Gianluca. Elsa, trusting in Andrea's instincts, enlists his aid in locating Anna's treacherous acquaintance. Andrea discovers the perilous truth about Gianluca and sets out to confront him. Meanwhile, Elsa alerts Adelina and Masi of Gianluca's whereabouts. Rather than attending the trial, Adelina joins the protest, while Lorenzo and Anna foolishly hand over the weapon to Gianluca. Andrea's sudden arrival startles the criminal, who panics and shoots Andrea before fleeing. Adelina and Masi rush to save their children, leading the cops to the hospital.

Chartoux and Elsa present new evidence in court, and the lawyer reads aloud how Hefner named his magazine after another publication. Mario asserts that the name "Playboy" was inspired by a New York automobile company. The judge rules in favor of "Playmen."

Adelina shares the story of Andrea's attack with Elsa and rushes to the hospital. As the "Playmen" staff rejoices over their victory, Saro returns to Italy, claiming he is here to sell the magazine since he owns the majority stake. Chartoux and Luigi confess their feelings for one another, and Luigi reveals that he has already found a buyer for the photos.

Adelina notices Saro's meddling at the office and is shocked when he fires Elsa despite her protests. Elsa packs her bags and leaves, telling Adelina that she can no longer help the staff with Saro's return. That night, Adelina confronts Saro about selling his shares, revealing she has obtained a bank loan. Saro refuses and they engage in a heated argument that ends with Saro assaulting her. Lorenzo returns home and kicks his father out, while Fr. Rocco attempts to calm him while Steve checks on Adelina. She refuses to see Steve but asks Fr. Rocco to stay.

The next day, Saro asks Chartoux to alter the upcoming article, but he refuses and quits in protest. Luigi informs him that he will receive 20 million dollars for the photos. At the hearing, Elsa is subjected to derogatory questions about her sexuality and conduct, with the defense attorney claiming she provoked Ettore.

Saro returns home and apologizes to Adelina, but when she refuses to accept his apology, he threatens to seek custody of their children and expose Lorenzo's involvement with a criminal. Anna urges Lorenzo to flee to Paris as he shares his parents' troubles with her.

That very night, Chartoux revealed his plans to his friend for a journey to America. Fabio cautiously warned him of the potential difficulties that may arise from living with a younger man. Fr. Rocco urged Adelina to pen the article on birth control. Elsa assertively ensured the nurses' compliance to meet Andrea by her side as she sat by his bedside.

The following morning, Lella arrived, apologetic towards Adelina. Lorenzo reassured Anna that he wasn't leaving and encouraged her to stay, but their moment was cut short when he engaged in a fierce altercation with Gianluca, who eventually left them in the lurch. Anna returned home, while Andrea woke up to find Elsa's kiss on his lips.

Luigi handed over the photos to the buyer and collected the cash, only to be met by the sudden arrival of the police who came to arrest him. Chartoux felt betrayed and attempted to intervene, but it was too late. Meanwhile, Adelina informed Saro of her intention to expose him for his infidelity, having married another woman while being married to her. The episode concluded with Elsa back at work, as Adelina took on the role of Editor-in-Chief for the woman-led Playmen magazine, her eyes set on a new chapter of empowerment and leadership.
