Meanwhile, Hong-sin suggests to Seon-u that they arrange a blind date between his sister and Seon-u's brother, an idea that Seon-u accepts without revealing the identity of her brother.

Back at the office, CEO Hwang Ji-sun informs Hyeon-jun that he hasn't received many offers for new projects. One of the few available is a script titled "A Place to Stay," which Hyeon-jun admires greatly. He urges Mr. Hwang to secure the role for him, but Mr. Hwang hesitates due to a personal connection.

A flashback reveals that years ago, Se-na asked Hyeon-jun to drop out of a project and even advised him to quit the industry altogether. Now, Hyeon-jun demands double the amount Se-na is getting for the film, indicating his determination to gain more prominence in the industry. On his way home, he confides to Mr. Hwang his aspirations of expanding into overseas roles.

At home, Hyeon-jun finds his mother waiting for him. Once an actress, she had to give up her career when she gave birth to Hyeon-jun, resulting in her being typecast as an erotic actress. Now, she's dating a film director named Mr. Jang and wants to star in a film directed by him. However, Hyeon-jun doesn't trust the man and persuades her against the idea, leading to an emotional outburst where she accuses him of stunting her career growth.

Meanwhile, Jeong-sin begins to feel unwell while working and heads to the hospital. However, she's left waiting for a long time and experiences excruciating pain. That night, Hyeon-jun ruminates on his mother's words and finds himself contemplating a bottle of pills. Mr. Hwang later discovers him unconscious at home and calls for assistance.

In the early morning hues, Hwa-yeong receives the shocking news that Hyeon-jun has been rushed to the Emergency Room following a suicide attempt. However, this heart-stopping rumor proves to be a mere figment of misinformation. At the hospital, Hyeon-jun reassures Mr. Hwang with a calm assurance, revealing that he had ingested pills merely for a slumber that went awry, an unfortunate mishap.

Meanwhile, Jeong-sin finds herself admitted for appendicitis, recovering post-surgery in the hospital's tranquil confines. Hwa-yeong pays her a visit, urging Jeong-sin to dig up dirt on Hyeon-jun's non-existent suicide attempt. As a sweetener, she promises to restore Jeong-sin's position at the political newspaper if she can gather ten juicy scoops.

In the exclusive VIP wing, Hyeon-jun reaches out to Byeong-gi via a phone call, imploring him to forgo the next season of Kang Pil-gu's production. Even offering a financial assistance, Hyeon-jun is blindsided when Byeong-gi leaves behind a package containing newly written scripts for Kang Pil-gu.

Jeong-sin, determined to make her mark, slinks her way up to the VIP section and sneaks into Hyeon-jun's room while he's undergoing tests. Hiding in the bathroom's secluded nook, she eavesdrops on Hyeon-jun chatting with Se-na, who is visiting him. Se-na reveals that the filmmaker has matched her pay with Hyeon-jun's and brings out an old gift Hyeon-jun had given her, hinting at unrequited feelings still lingering. After Se-na's departure, Hyeon-jun consents to a blind date with his brother on the other end of the line.

As Jeong-sin passes gas in the bathroom, Hyeon-jun realizes her presence and catches her in the act. Despite the awkward circumstances, Jeong-sin proposes a proper interview to quell the gossipmongering tabloids. Reluctantly, Hyeon-jun agrees.

Back in the magazine's office, Hwa-yeong is introduced to the new company president – Jae-hyeong. It turns out that the two share a past. And guess what? We also learn that Hwa-yeong is now a divorcee, adding a layer of intrigue to their reunion.

As the night shrouded their thoughts with insomnia, Hyeon-jun and Jeong-sin's paths unexpectedly crossed on the rooftop garden. Their conversation was cut short when Jeong-sin's surgical wound reopened, causing her to faint. Unfortunately, the rooftop doors were locked, leaving Hyeon-jun with no choice but to shatter the glass doors in a desperate bid to rush her inside. Moments later, clips of Hyeon-jun's heroic act went viral, effectively mitigating the suicide scandal. As a result, Hyeon-jun was discharged and bid Jeong-sin farewell before departing. Jeong-sin noticed his limp, a testament to the shards of glass he had run over.

Back at home, Hyeon-jun filmed several audition tapes and sent them off to foreign studios. The day of their blind date finally arrived, and the episode ended with Hyeon-jun and Jeong-sin being caught in a mutual surprise when they unexpectedly saw each other again. The moment was filled with an electric tension, as if fate had brought them together once more in a whirlwind of emotions and unfinished business.
