Nice to Not Meet You – K-drama Episode 4 1

At home, Jeong-sin unleashes her frustration on her brother, while Hyeon-jun confronts Seon-u about his aspirations, revealing his desire to pursue acting—a notion Hyeon-jun finds unfavorable but Seon-u is resolute in his pursuit.

Later, both Jeong-sin and Hyeon-jun find themselves pondering their encounter. Mr. Hwang informs Hyeon-jun that Jeong-sin has penned a commendable article about him, and Park Byeong-gi and CEO Son reveal their need to secure a new director for the upcoming Kang Pil-gu season. Hyeon-jun delves into the article, discovering Jeong-sin's former career as a political reporter, which sparks a deeper fascination within him.

At work, Hwa-young's team presents a retrospective on erotic actresses from the past, and Jeong-sin recognizes one as Hyeon-jun's mother, Seong Ae-suk. Hwa-young tasks her with writing an exposé on this revelation, causing Jeong-sin to wonder if they are delving too deeply into Hyeon-jun's personal life. She discovers that Hwa-young might hold a grudge against Hyeon-jun for some reason.

Just as Jeong-sin is musing on these developments, Jae-hyeong finds her at work and returns her work ID—revealing himself as the new president. Later, Jeong-sin completes her article on Seong Ae-suk, which Hwa-young plans to release after Hyeon-jun's ramyeon promotion event and prior to his press conference. Jeong-sin worries about the potential fallout but is told by Hwa-young to proceed with her writing.

That evening, Jae-hyeong catches Jeong-sin working late and invites her to dinner, hoping to alleviate her worries about an upcoming article. Jeong-sin confesses her anxiety, but Jae-hyeong reassures her, reminding her that it's just her job. After the meal, Jeong-sin attempts to reach Mr. Hwang, but her efforts are in vain.

Meanwhile, Hyeon-jun's ramyeon event is off to a promising start. However, during the press conference, the article surfaces, and the reporters inundate Hyeon-jun with questions. He becomes flustered and dizzy, soon doubled over in pain. Mr. Hwang is about to call 911, but Hyeon-jun tells him not to – it's a panic attack. Instead, he seeks the help of a psychiatrist who informs him that his anxiety is double that of a normal person. Hyeon-jun is surprised when the doctor treats him like a regular person and urges him to leave when their session is over.

Hyeon-jun then finds Jeong-sin and confronts her about the article. Jeong-sin tells him that he shouldn't be ashamed of his mother or her work in this day and age. Hyeon-jun then brings up the incident from the hostess bar, offending Jeong-sin by suggesting she was a hostess.

In the morning, Ae-suk meets Hyeon-jun and tells him she'll go to the US to spare him more scandal. But Hyeon-jun tells her there's no need for her to go. She also makes Seon-u stay with Hyeon-jun for a month to ensure he doesn't take extra pills like in previous episodes. Hyeon-jun then asks his mother about his biological father but she claims he is dead.

Later, Hyeon-jun tells Seon-u to return to medical school after a break. He then consults an online tarot card reader to understand why he's experiencing a string of bad luck. The card reader informs him that these conditions will continue and that he should push through it instead of trying anything new.

Following her advice, Hyeon-jun tells Mr. Hwang that he will do Season 5 of Kang Pil-gu. However, he soon discovers that Park Byeong-gi himself will be directing the season while also writing the scripts. Recalling his brutal methods from the very first Kang Pil-gu movie, Hyeon-jun is forced to take a herbal medicine to calm down.

Meanwhile, Jeong-sin sets up a meeting with Bahn Soo-jung, her source from the hostess bar. It turns out that Jeong-sin helped her find treatment for her sister's illness. Now, Soo-jung has something to tell Jeong-sin about the video she had given her that day – there was one more person at that event who wasn't shown in the video – Se-na.

The episode ends with Hyeon-jun meeting Se-na, who whispers something in his ear, leaving him pondering the mysteries of his past and present.
