The second episode of "No One Saw Us Leave" opens with Leo, the children, and the men sent by his father making their way to their next destination. As they approach a payphone, Leo demands to speak to his father, only to be met with Samuel's stern order for him to follow the plan and start anew. Samuel sees this as a pivotal moment for Leo to finally make him proud, while Leo yearns to put an end to their run but agrees to continue serving as his father's puppet. Meanwhile, the children grapple with the question of whether they truly saw their mother.
Valeria, on the other hand, relies on Carlos and Elias to locate her children. Her mind is filled with worry, especially as Isaac's birthday approaches. Elias suggests they take a route through Austria, following the dwindling trails of the case. With time running out, Elias persuades Carlos that he needs to follow the trail alone. Carlos speaks with Valeria and convinces her to return to Mexico with him.
In Italy, Leo brings the children to a place where they confront him for lying to them. Despite his dishonesty, Leo continues to lie, claiming that Valeria is ill and needs time to recover. The children eventually calm down and agree to go with him, settling into a stay at one of Samuel's old friends' homes. Leo continues to maintain contact with his family.
Upon returning to Mexico, Carlos is confronted by Samuel and Gabby. Samuel insists that Carlos needs to save his marriage, while Gabby treats him harshly. Gayla sets a meeting with Ana and Valeria to discuss a solution. At the restaurant, Valeria is taken aback when Gabby also shows up. Gayla explains that they need to save their marriages and makes Valeria an offer: in exchange for her children's return, she asks Valeria to end things with Carlos if she wants Leo to return with the kids.Valeria's words with Carlos are filled with hope, and he pledges to wait for her, even if it means rescuing the children. Their confession of love is a passionate embrace in the car, a tangible expression of their feelings. In Italy, Leo confides in his host about the predicament he finds himself in, contemplating Gayla's proposition as the children struggle to adjust to their new surroundings.
Back in Mexico, Moishe visits the Interpol offices with a determination to open a case against Leo. The process is slow and unwelcome, as no one takes the situation seriously. After numerous attempts, he finally secures a conversation with an agent. At home, Valeria's depression deepens as she reflects on the pivotal moments in her children's lives. She remembers the day she gave birth to Isaac, a day filled with joy and anticipation.
At that time, Samuel was pressing Carlos to use his political connections to ensure the smooth construction of the hospital's new wing. Valeria meets with Gayla and asks to speak to Leo before making any decisions. Gayla escorts her home, where she calls Leo and asks him to play along and claim the proposition was from him.
However, the call takes a turn when Valeria demands an explanation for his actions. He refuses to allow her to speak to Isaac, and Valeria storms out, vowing to make Leo and his family pay for their actions.
Elsewhere, Samuel and Moishe meet to discuss the family and the construction project. Moishe refuses to work with Samuel unless the children are returned, so Samuel vows to break their business contract. As the days pass, the Interpol agent informs Moishe and his family that Interpol is issuing a warrant for Leo in Italy. Once they find him, Leo is likely to face jail time. Valeria insists that they must continue regardless of the consequences.
In Italy, Leo hosts a birthday party for Isaac, but the boy is disappointed that he didn't receive the telescope Valeria promised him. In Mexico, Valeria buys the telescope for Isaac and wishes him a happy birthday, her heart filled with both love and determination to see her family reunited.
She reminisces about Isaac's last birthday, when Carlos arrived early and assisted her with grace. Meanwhile, Leo was lost in a bar, avoiding his family and indulging in self-pity. Carlos found him and attempted to lure him towards the party. Presently, Moiche informs Valeria that Interpol has located Leo and is on its way to collect the children. To mislead Samuel, he asks Valeria to attend the hospital's event for the new wing. They all attend the event, with Carlos and Valeria deliberately maintaining their distance. At the event, Samuel names someone else as the director of the new hospital wing, leaving Carlos disappointed after all his hard work on the project. Gabby, on the other hand, gleefully observes his setback as a consequence for his past mistakes.
Suddenly, Valeria rises from her seat and walks towards Carlos. She extends her hand, and they exit the party together. The shockwave of their departure leaves everyone in awe, while Gabby is left with a blush of embarrassment.
Back in Italy, Leo receives news that Interpol is on its way to arrest him. In the meantime, Isaac convinces Tammy to run away with him in search of their mother. He has packed all his camping toys, believing they will help them find their way home. Tired of his father's lies, he yearns for their mother's embrace. Leo finds them in time and acknowledges his mistakes. He fabricates a tale of danger and the need for an escape. He also tells the children that they cannot be with Valeria because she did something wrong. Unfortunately, by the time Interpol arrives, Leo and his children have already vanished into the distance.
