In Episode 4 of "No Tail to Tell," the story unfolds with Coach Yong-gil attempting to reconcile with Si-yeol. He urges Si-yeol to lead their team to the third division, but Si-yeol, in his arrogant nature, refuses to play in the fourth division.

Woo-seok, unaware of their predicament, calls and is shocked when Si-yeol reveals that their lives have been switched. He begs for a month to revert to their original lives, but an emotional Si-yeol refuses, and Woo-seok hangs up in despair.
Si-yeol's attempts to flee to London are thwarted by an expired passport. Eun-ho, appearing apologetic and compliant, agrees to help once he awakens the next day. As parting advice, she warns him never to trust anyone again.
Meanwhile, Jang Do-cheol, the hunter, kidnaps Si-yeol. When Si-yeol tries to call Woo-seok for Eun-ho's help, he learns that CEO Lee Yoon and Do-cheol plan to kill Eun-ho. Refusing to help, Si-yeol is knocked unconscious, and Eun-ho begins to lose her powers.
Eun-ho arrives, trapped, and acts confidently, pretending to be overpowered. She lures Do-cheol into stabbing a decoy with the Sajin Ritual Blade and then reveals her true self. It becomes clear that he seeks a fox's bead. Without punishing him, she promises to make Yoon suffer and sends them away to a remote countryside.
Elsewhere, Lord Pagun prepares to leave. Back at Do-cheol's den, Eun-ho heals Si-yeol, claiming she doesn't care if he dies but fearing the gods' wrath if he dies under the switched fate wish. She apologizes for dragging him into her mess, surprising him. As she faints, she loses her powers.
A flashback reveals Geum-ho's miserable life on the day of her death. She suffers from dementia and has lost her family. Eun-ho visits, angry with Geum-ho for choosing such a life and vows never to love humans or live like her. Yet, when Geum-ho dies, Eun-ho cries.
Currently, Eun-ho awakens as a human, enraged that saving Si-yeol's life was deemed a good deed, transforming her into a human. He's more curious about when his fate will be reversed rather than concerned. He eventually joins the program when he realizes that without her powers, he's stuck as well. Eager to return to normal, he accompanies Eun-ho to Pagun's temple. However, the deity is nowhere to be found, leaving behind a resident card with a human name - Kim Ok-sun. Furious, Eun-ho tries to burn down the temple and gets arrested. Suddenly, she realizes that the Sajin Blade is missing, and Si-yeol sheepishly confesses that he forgot to take it when he took her home. She tells him to retrieve it as it can help sever and defy fates, which may come in handy.
Si-yeol takes his four new friends as backup but finds that Do-cheol's hideout is empty, and the dagger is gone. As for Woo-seok, he has transferred to Londinium FC. The head monk bails Eun-ho out, and she is lost until Si-yeol shows up with a plan. Someone cleaned up the place but left behind a news article of a fox saving a couple on Seoraksan Mountain. Eun-ho believes the gods are manipulating them but decides to play along.
Eun-ho and Si-yeol start hiking up the mountain in hopes of getting lost and having the fox save them. However, they are not dressed appropriately for the journey. It leads to several fellow hikers helping them out. Eun-ho brags that she lives in the mountains but is constantly out of breath. In the end, they are reported as a couple trying to commit suicide and are dragged back down. Hungry and sore, they stop for dinner. Eun-ho can barely pick up a spoon, and Si-yeol feeds her. They share a sweet moment, and she dozes off. Si-yeol looks at her fondly before catching himself. He wakes her up, and she is shocked. She just dreamt of him stabbing her with the Sajin Blade.
