Meanwhile, the trio of printouts celebrate their victory over Tom, their voices blending in song as they make their way to Craig's. A moment of camaraderie emerges, Lucy hesitant to approach her ex, PJ, regarding the chip that holds the key to the remaining two printouts. Amidst this, Jack calls Lucy, informing her of fake passports that will allow them to escape. She enlists Craig's help in locating PJ, intent on shutting down Darros and fleeing with Jack.

Elsewhere, Jules and Eleanor find solace in shared memories, Jules urging the older printout not to abandon hope. She advises Eleanor to confront her reality by visiting her mother, a suggestion Eleanor reluctantly accepts.

Jack and Tina secure the fake passports, but a biometric check looms, requiring their return within an hour. Jack calls Lucy, who promises to arrive despite her current pursuit of PJ.

In another part of the story, Lucas confides in Rhona, revealing the entire printout saga. He declares that he does not see Eleanor, another printout, as his mother, as she lacks the divine essence. Rhona comforts him, and he expresses his unwavering trust in her. The scene shifts to a weary Kira, desperately trying to reach Lucas as they prepare to flee the city.

Felix's exhibition is in full swing, and he alerts Kira that Lucas has arrived. She rushes in, and a confrontation erupts as Lucas accuses her of stealing his chance to bid farewell to his biological mother. Felix, once caught up with the revelation, is shocked but understanding, admonishing Kira to take responsibility for her actions.

Lucy manages to track down PJ, but Craig's cunning is required to coax her into assisting. She declares that the chip serves as a security key, granting access to highly classified information. However, their hacking attempts backfire, leading to a cyber-attack on the entire store's computer system. The token itself is crafted from a material impervious to destruction, rendering physical elimination impossible.

Elsewhere, Eleanor confronts her mother, Melissa, inquiring about who stole her medical records at age 16, the basis for Jules' creation. In a rare moment of clarity, Melissa reveals the terror of forgetting, leaving both women shaken. Inspired, Eleanor vows to collaborate with Kira on developing a cure. In a show of transparency, Kira confesses that she's been using Lucas' blood to activate the printed neurons, explaining the blood drive and subsequent theft. Despite this revelation, Eleanor agrees to work together, for the sake of Jules and Lucy.

Just then, they learn that Kira's office is under siege. Darros has replaced Tom, punishing him for losing Jules, and retaliating against Kira for Emily's death with false evidence submitted to the FDA. However, Kira assures Eleanor of her innocence.

A flashback reveals the gun being fired, but neither Kira nor Emily were harmed. Kira convinced Emily to fake her death, achieving this by printing her teeth and torching her car. Now, both Kira and Eleanor fear Darros has reached Jules, as she remains unreachable. Desperate, they enlist Lucy's help.

Unfortunately, fate intervenes, as Jack warns Lucy that the biometrics office is shutting down, forcing her to make a choice. Convinced she can make it, Lucy first checks on Jules. Arriving at the settlement home with Craig, they find Jules and Xander. He relies on her medication to access Darros' memories, transforming into his perfect replica, fulfilling his destiny. Lucy utilizes the drug to question him about the security token, but he panics. As she approaches, he draws a gun and fires, narrowly missing Lucy but striking Craig, leaving a dramatic cliffhanger in the closing moments of Orphan Black: Echoes Episode 8.
