Our Movie – K-drama Episode 6

Published: Jun 30 2025

Episode 6 of "Our Movie" kicks off with a poignant flashback to Da-eum's audition for "The Lonely People." Haunted by the silence that followed, she presumes her endeavor to be in vain, as Je-ha's summons went unanswered due to her absence. Her college buddy, Eun-ho, steps in to lift her spirits, subsequently extending an invitation for a date. Though touched by the gesture of love in any form, Da-eum respectfully declines, convinced that her impending fate disqualifies her from entering into any romantic entanglements.

Our Movie – K-drama Episode 6 1

In the present timeline, as she pours her heart out to Je-ha, the same somber realization weighs heavily on her. Their poignant conversation is abruptly halted by the buzzing of her food timer. Amidst their poignant farewell, Je-ha reassures her of her normality, albeit cautioning against crossing unseen boundaries.

The scene shifts to an intense Dr. Lee, passionately advocating for a new clinical trial—a desperate measure aimed at alleviating pain and seizing control, rather than offering a cure. Elsewhere, Seung-won grapples with the potential media takeover by a rival director's scandal and, in a bid to divert attention, leaks Da-eum's photos.

Back at the film set, an awkward tension envelops Da-eum's interactions with Je-ha, whose demeanor remains a paradox of aloofness and concern. Je-ha's distress over the circulation of her photos, despite her assurances of well-being, only deepens the complexity of their bond. Gossip spreads like wildfire, catching the attention of Agent Go's rivals, eager to capitalize on Da-eum's agent-less state.

Desperate measures call for desperate actions; Agent Go conjures a scheme to bring Jae-in on board under the pretense of signing Da-eum. Jae-in, perceptive as ever, sees through the charade and is left disheartened. However, she reveals a shared past with Da-eum, having attended the same college for a semester before her mysterious disappearance. Assistant Min-hee, ever discreet, relays this information to Seo-yeong, whose reaction hints at less than pleased sentiments.

Je-ha deposits Da-eum at Gyu-young's doorstep, his words outlining their rigid boundaries echoing in the air. As he departs, a pang of self-reflection hits him; he acknowledges the harshness in his demeanor. Left behind, a disheartened Da-eum confides in Gyu-young, who rallies her spirits, urging her not to surrender to her feelings so easily. Their conversation is abruptly interrupted by Jae-in's stormy entrance, her jealousy and aggravation spilling over onto both of them. She resents being sidelined while Da-eum assumes center stage, her own role diminished to mere supporting act.

Je-ha persists in his quest to understand Da-eum's condition, noting with concern the preponderance of information sourced from her father. Driven by determination, he seeks him out, vowing to implement every safety measure conceivable. He even pledges to halt production of the movie should any complications arise, offering Dr. Lee the test footage as testament to Da-eum's worth and the risks he's willing to take. Torn between empathy and caution, Dr. Lee reflects on a poignant visit from Min-jeong's mother, Seung-hee, who lamented her selfish hold on hope, depriving her daughter of life's joys. He vows not to replicate her mistake with Da-eum, seemingly swayed by Je-ha's plea. Consequently, he instructs Da-eum to undergo a thorough check-up prior to filming, ending the call abruptly yet leaving her deeply moved.

The day of the remake's makeup test dawns, and Da-eum's makeup artist, Ms. Jo, cannot help but remark on her pale, ailing appearance. Embarrassed and uneasy, Da-eum dashes to the bathroom to take her medication, only to be trailed by Jae-in. Swift-thinking, Da-eum has marked her pill bottles as Gyu-won's props, fooling Jae-in momentarily but not entirely dispelling her suspicions. Meanwhile, Seo-yeong, cloistered in a stall, silently observes the unfolding drama.

Later in the evening, Seung-won generously treats the entire crew to a lavish dinner. Seo-yeong observes Je-ha discreetly keeping an eye on Da-eum. Eun-ho, the assistant cameraman, approaches, causing Da-eum to feel a wave of nervousness. AD Hong and Jun-byoung forge a camaraderie, bonding over their shared experiences on the film set.

A lively debate ensues between the grounded Ms. Jo, who leans towards realism, and Cinematographer Cheol-min, a hopelessly romantic soul. In her intoxicated state, Ms. Jo gossips, wondering aloud about the nature of Da-eum and Je-ha's relationship. Cheol-min attempts to attend to her, amused by her clumsy obliviousness.

Eun-ho musters the courage to confront Da-eum, seeking answers to her mysterious disappearance. Je-ha steps in to defend her, and once they are in private, his curiosity about Eun-ho peaks. Embarrassed, Da-eum confesses that Eun-ho was her first love. Je-ha cautions her to maintain distance, which she misunderstands as avoiding intimate connections to spare others heartache should she pass away. Though he fears she might cry, Da-eum diverts the conversation, eliciting laughter from Je-ha. Seung-won and Seo-yeong observe from afar, with the latter perturbed by their easy rapport.

As the night draws to a close, only a handful of crew members remain, their conversation reverting to the topic of love. Some express a preference for the original 'Love in White' due to its tragic love narrative. Seo-yeong probes Je-ha, wondering if he altered the storyline—where the male lead doesn't love a terminally ill girl—because he doesn't believe in such a love. She presses further, asking if he could love a dying person, causing an uncomfortable Da-eum to step outside. Je-ha ponders aloud that perhaps falling in love does require an extraordinary impetus, like impending death.

Later, Seung-won and Je-ha step out for a smoke, with Seung-won bluntly inquiring about any burgeoning romance between Je-ha and Da-eum.

The sixth episode of Our Movie concludes with another confrontation. Seo-yeong trails Da-eum outside and, unable to contain her curiosity, bluntly asks if she is dying.
