Episode 2 of "Peacemaker" kicks off with Emilia receiving an urgent call from the titular hero, who fills her in on the chaotic events that unfolded in the parking lot. With a tone of desperation, she urges him to grab his gear and make a swift exit, while she, in turn, scoops up Leota and rushes to their apartment, anxiously awaiting Peacemaker's arrival.
Unbeknownst to them, Peacemaker lingers in the apartment, methodically packing his gear and, oddly enough, pocketing some of the deceased's records. Meanwhile, Emilia and Leota sit impatiently in the car, their thumbs twitching with anticipation.
Through the window, Peacemaker catches sight of approaching officers, sending him into a flurry of activity as he scrambles to evade capture. The police begin their search, methodically checking each apartment. Amidst the comedy of Peacemaker's gear toppling over like dominoes and a playful spat sparked by his questionable music taste, he manages to reach the ground floor, skillfully hopping between balconies.
Though his descent is far from graceful, Peacemaker lands relatively unscathed (save for a sore shoulder) and escapes thanks to Emilia's timely intervention and helping hand. With bullets flying and the police hot on their trail, the trio speeds off to safety.
However, back at headquarters, John, in a state of blind panic, alters the car's registration, mistakenly listing it under Peacemaker's father's name. This ill-conceived move does not sit well with Auggie when Officers Fitzgibbon and Song pay him an unwelcome visit.
Similarly, Murn's fury knows no bounds upon discovering Peacemaker's antics. The protagonist's casual attitude towards leaving the Butterfly dossier at a stranger's house incites a storm of shouts and anger. Murn demands that Peacemaker take the situation seriously, especially with witnesses at the scene. In response, Murn assigns Leota the daunting task of silencing these witnesses with bribes.
The remaining team members regard Peacemaker with disdain, quick to remind him of his reckless behavior.
Back at his abode, Peacemaker is plunged into a melancholic funk. Just when despair threatens to consume him, Vigilante materializes at his window, proposing a jubilant celebration to mark Peacemaker's liberation from captivity. With an array of appliances set up in the woods, ready for target practice, Vigilante leads Peacemaker to an exhilarating spree of shooting.
Meanwhile, at Auggie's residence, the police reappear at his doorstep, this time armed with an arrest warrant. As Auggie is apprehended, Leota informs Keeya of her upcoming unconventional working hours, sparking a seemingly contentious exchange between them. However, the ensuing musical din drowns out their conversation, seamlessly transitioning the scene back to Peacemaker.
After an afternoon filled with trigger-pulling exhilaration, Peacemaker finds himself nestled in bed alongside Vigilante and another woman. While they indulge in smoking weed—Vigilante steadfastly declining to partake—Peacemaker fiddles with the peculiar relic he unearthed earlier in the metahuman's apartment. To his astonishment, it metamorphoses into an enigmatic contraption.
Behind bars, Auggie is hailed as the White Dragon by a cult-like group of fanatics who kneel in reverence, their hand gestures loaded with suggestive undertones.
