Episode 7 of Perfect Crown continues where we left off, with Prince Yi-an and Hui-ju passionately kissing on the yacht. They return home, and the staff asks why they left the royal guards behind. When asked if they went somewhere nice, they awkwardly shout no. That night, both Prince Yi-an and Hui-ju are unable to stop thinking about the kiss. Hui-ju wonders if she went too far, and Prince Yi-an is just pleased it happened. He drops by her room that night, but she pretends not to hear him call her name.
The next morning, things remain awkward even as Hui-ju hurries to work, trying to avoid Prince Yi-an. She ends up running into him that morning, and he helps her when she trips. Before heading to work, Hui-ju drops by the church to ask the priest for an exorcism. She feels that she must have been possessed since she can't stop thinking about that kiss. She runs into Jeong-woo, who offers to give her a ride and asks her to wait. At the same time, Prince Yi-an calls Hui-ju to discuss a wedding preparation event. He hears Jeong-woo's voice in the background and gets jealous.

On the ride to work, Hui-ju casually mentions that Prince Yi-an likes driving and asks if Jeong-woo enjoys it too. By looking at her, he notices that she is getting too close to Prince Yi-an. He warns her not to get too attached, as it will only make the divorce difficult.
Hui-ju refuses to admit that she is falling for Prince Yi-an and goes to work. At work, she starts the handover process and visits a few affiliates. She meets with Tae-joo and Da-young. Tae-joo is shocked when Hui-ju reveals that she is handing over his shares to him. Although she feels it is a mistake, she hopes that the shareholders and her dad will soon realize that she is the best person for the job.
Back at the palace, Prince Yi-an aids King Yi-yoon in selecting a propitious date for the wedding. He claims that he and Hui-ju require some time and selects a date in July. Later that day, Prince Yi-an and Hui-ju meet for their wedding fitting. She panics when Choi-hyun informs her that Prince Yi-an will be dining at her family home, as it is a tradition for the son-in-law to present gifts to the bride's family. Sensing her anxiety, Hye-jong assures her that her father has already accepted the meeting.
Hui-ju is further flustered when Prince Yi-an helps to tuck some hair behind her ear during the fitting. Her nerves reach a boiling point during the health examination when Court Lady Jin-sook brings up the consummation of their marriage. The doctor notes that her heart is racing and wonders if she has any underlying health issues. Prince Yi-an, sensing her discomfort, kindly requests some privacy. He brings up the kiss from that night, and Hui-ju lies, claiming that she is fine with what happened. She rationalizes that the vibes from that night led to the kiss, and it could have happened with anyone. Prince Yi-an is a bit hurt and confesses that for him, it only happened because he was with her.
Meanwhile, Choi-hyun delivers the gifts and the royal marriage edict to Hyeon-guk. He is shocked when Hui-ju's father asks him to hurry up with the process. However, Tae-joo and Da-young are thrilled to learn that security reasons will require the wedding rites to take place at Prince Yi-an's private residence.
Meanwhile, Yi-rang learns that Prince Yi-an seems agitated and questions him about it. She wonders if he is angry about their last dinner or if he fought with Hui-ju. She quickly points out that Prince Yi-an and Hui-ju come from different worlds and may have difficulty adapting to each other's lifestyles.
Prince Yi-an seized the opportunity to inquire whether she and his brother had found happiness and harmony since they hailed from the same world. This question arose when Prince Yi-an offered to accompany her to an event, as the king had once again bailed on her. She responded by asking if there had ever been happiness in a royal marriage.
Meanwhile, Hui-ju was still troubled by what Prince Yi-an had said during the health check-up. She considered calling him but ultimately decided against it. In his room, Prince Yi-an discovered the marriage contract and placed it in his safe. Inside, he retrieved the partially burned royal edict where the king had written his wish to abdicate the throne and have Prince Yi-an take over.
Additionally, he was thinking about the late king, Sung-won. He recalled the night the king passed away. Apparently, he had rushed to be by Yi-rang's side. He was shocked to find her huddled in a corner, weeping. It was that night she told him about the king's wish to depose the crown prince, abdicate, and leave the throne for Prince Yi-an. He asked her what she did, and she replied, "I burned it all to the ground."
The following day, Da-young and Tae-joo eagerly prepared to welcome Prince Yi-an to their family home. On the ride there, Prince Yi-an noticed that Hui-ju seemed nervous. Her anxiety worsened when Choi-hyun explained that dinner should take at least four hours.
Hui-ju's family welcomed Prince Yi-an, and Tae-joo felt moved when the prince addressed him as an elder hyung. During dinner, tensions rose when Hyeon-guk started acting fatherly and concerned. He mentioned his worry for Hui-ju's safety at the palace and asked Prince Yi-an to cherish her. The sudden display of concern struck Hui-ju as hypocritical, and she called him out on it. She left dinner and went to her old room. Prince Yi-an followed to check on her and she questioned if he was reconsidering his decision. He assured her that he was not, and he also mentioned that his family was messed up too.
He promised to give her everything she needed as long as she asked for it. This prompted her to ask if he had feelings for her. He laughed when she referred to herself as a femme fatale. In the end, he admitted that he liked her, and she had no choice but to accept his heart as well. However, he assured her that he would divorce her when the time came.
Elsewhere, Choi-hyun and Hye-jung worried that Prince Yi-an and Hui-ju were acting too stiffly and might get caught. However, Hye-jung was not as concerned. With each interaction, Choi-hyun found himself falling for Hye-jung all over again.
On the journey back to his residence, Prince Yi-an attempted to intertwine his fingers with Hui-ju's, only to be interrupted by a call that made her withdraw her hand. It was Jeong-woo, checking in on the outcome of their evening. Hui-ju informed him that everything had gone well and put him on speaker. Prince Yi-an observed that Hyeon-guk seemed fond of him. Jeong-woo then inquired about Tae-joo, prompting Hui-ju to take Jeong-woo off speaker and share her concerns about giving her brother her shares. Although Prince Yi-an felt a twinge of jealousy, he dropped Hui-ju off at his private residence and expressed his sadness at leaving her until their wedding day.
The staff eagerly awaited Hui-ju's account of the dinner's outcome, and Prince Yi-an's nervousness was evident. She offered to treat them all to a celebration, and everyone was thrilled, except for A-reum, who appeared nervous and guilt-ridden.
The next day, Prince Yi-an paid an unannounced visit to Jeong-woo's office. He confessed his feelings for Hui-ju and warned Jeong-woo to mind his conduct. Jeong-woo cautioned him not to take matters too far since love was not what Hui-ju needed from him.
As the wedding day approached, Hui-ju was busy with the handover of responsibilities. Prince Yi-an texted her a reminder to eat, and her smile at his message was genuine.
Finally, the day of the wedding arrived, and excitement permeated the air. However, no one was as elated and giddy as Prince Yi-an, who finally had the privilege of calling Hui-ju his wife. Da-young also arrived to assist Hui-ju with noble etiquette before the wedding.
Before the ceremony, Jeong-woo called Hui-ju and teasingly asked if she had changed her mind. She told him she hadn't. As they spoke, Yirang appeared and asked how Jeong-woo was doing. When he said he was okay, she responded by telling him that she would wait until he couldn't restrain himself any longer.
The wedding ceremony proceeded smoothly without a hitch. Although Hui-ju stumbled, Prince Yi-an found it endearing. After the wedding rites at Prince Yi-an's residence, the couple made their way to the palace to present themselves to the king. The crowd and other well-wishers watching from home cheered the newlyweds on. Even Prince Yi-an's staff felt proud. The only one struggling was Jeong-woo, and Yi-rang pointed out that he should have vetoed the king's approval.
At the palace, Court Lady Jin-sook welcomed and congratulated them first. Inside, Jeong-woo congratulated the couple on behalf of the people and the cabinet. Unfortunately, with everyone watching, including the media, Hui-ju collapsed.
In the epilogue, we returned to the conversation between Prince Yi-an and Jeong-woo. The prince insisted that there must be a reason that Hui-ju chose him. After all, Jeong-woo could have also given her the nominal status she desperately sought.
