Meanwhile, Wrigley and Evan head to class while discussing Stephen and Lucy's breakup. Wrigley dismisses Stephen as a mere convenience friend, while Evan mentions his upcoming casual hangout with Molly, eliciting a joking threat from Wrigley that Evan will get slapped again when he breaks Molly's heart.

Lucy visits her guidance counselor to inquire about her eligibility for an international study program. The counselor informs her that she missed the essay submission deadline but offers an extension if she wishes to pursue it.

Back in Bree and Pippa's room, Lucy joins them for a pre-game session before heading out for the night. Bree shares her concerns about Oliver treating her as a vulnerable young girl, which made him feel comfortable approaching her. The trio discusses boys, with Pippa suggesting that Lucy try something casual instead of constantly moving from one relationship to another.

Wrigley arrives to pick them up and apologizes to Pippa for their earlier fight. He presents her with a bag of her favorite candy, and Pippa apologizes for her earlier outburst.

Stephen sits alone at a bar, trying to reach his sister, Sadie. His mother, Nora, answers Sadie's phone and tells Stephen to back off. Nora reveals that Sadie may lose her scholarship due to falling grades and hints that she might return home. Stephen asks if he can come home too, admitting his struggles, but Nora refuses.

At the party, Bree introduces Alex to the group, divulging that he's her former foster brother. As Evan and Molly arrive, Molly promptly begins peppering Lucy with questions about her breakup with Stephen. Lucy attempts to evade the inquiries while Alex tells Lucy that she doesn't owe Molly anything and can simply decline to engage rather than stress herself out. Diana joins the group, creating an awkward tension between her and Pippa in the presence of Wrigley.

Later, Evan confronts Lucy, blaming her for Stephen's harassment towards him. Lucy counters by accusing Evan of sabotaging her relationship by revealing their affair to Stephen. Evan urges Lucy to get Stephen off his back by coming clean to Bree. Nearby, Bree discusses the group's relationship dynamics with Alex. Lucy joins them and muses whether Wrigley and Pippa might end up marrying since their relationship seems the strongest.

Lucy asks Alex about Bree's childhood, and he reveals that Bree was bossy before things became strained at the foster home. When Bree heads to the bathroom, Alex and Lucy continue their conversation. Alex states that he doesn't date seriously but wonders if Lucy would be open to a no-strings-attached sexual relationship.

Meanwhile, Bree and Evan speak privately. Bree compliments Evan's relationship with Molly, but Evan confesses that he would leave Molly for Bree, shocking her. Later, Bree encourages Lucy to consider hooking up with Alex, noting that he seems willing.

Pippa and Diana discuss how uncomfortable everything feels before Wrigley drags them into a game of beer pong. Meanwhile, Stephen drunkenly vents to a bartender named Max about Lucy, calling her names. Max cuts him off and refuses to serve him. Stephen storms out without paying and steals cash from another customer that had been left behind.

At the party, Bree exerts pressure on Lucy to accompany Alex home, and she agrees. Once at his apartment, Lucy and Alex begin to engage in passionate moments, but he abruptly breaks away to respond to a text message. Lucy's insecurities escalate, and she questions whether he genuinely has feelings for her. Alex candidly states that he cannot control how she feels about herself and suggests that she is seeking revenge through sex. Lucy realizes that Alex is not what she desires and decides to leave his apartment, returning to her dorm room.

The next morning, Stephen returns to campus and speaks with Wrigley in his dorm room about his conversation with Nora. Stephen initially claims that Wrigley has a "normal" family but quickly retracts this statement, remembering Drew's suicide. Wrigley sarcastically asks if Stephen misses having someone to pick on.

Later, Lucy confides in Bree about her disastrous encounter with Alex and opens up about her childhood struggles. Bree expresses surprise at Lucy's revelation, as it does not align with her previous perception of her friend. At this moment, Bree receives a call from Stephen. Lucy asks her to decline the call and decides to confront Stephen directly.

Lucy confronts Stephen, demanding to know what he is trying to achieve. He confesses that he plans to hurt her by exposing the truth about her affair with Evan. Lucy threatens to expose Stephen for being in the car with Macy on the night of the accident, but Stephen insists that she has no proof. Lucy begs him to leave her friendship with Bree alone and admits that she wrote the letter accusing Chris, revealing that she lied about sexual assault to protect her friend.

Stephen manipulates Lucy into recording a video confession. Although Lucy knows it will destroy her reputation, she agrees to protect her friendship with Bree. Stephen coaches her through the video and forces her to say that she lied about being raped by Clint for attention. He makes it clear that he can use the video as he wishes.

Meanwhile, Amanda approaches Bree to discuss Oliver's affair. Bree tells Amanda that engaging in a relationship with a married man is not something to be proud of and later sends Oliver a photo of herself with Amanda as a threat.

That night, Stephen speaks with Evan about his family problems. Evan offers to have his father cover Sadie's tuition, which Stephen accepts. He frames it as payback for sleeping with Lucy and asks for the keys to Evan's apartment.

Elsewhere, Diana takes a pregnancy test and discovers that it is positive. That same night, Lucy returns to Alex's room and engages in sexual activity with him. During their sexual encounter, she asks him to choke her, and the two engage in rough sex as the episode concludes.
