As the episode unfolds, Thony (Elodie Yung), lens in hand, captures precious moments of Luca (Sebastien LaSalle, Valentino LaSalle) on his inaugural school day. Meanwhile, Jaz's (Faith Bryant) impatient knocks echo through the bathroom, urging Chris (Sean Lew) to emerge. Luca, somewhat irritated by the fuss, remarks about the exaggeration surrounding his school debut. Thony, ever mindful, reminisces about their doubts about his ever attending school amidst peers, while Luca confesses his yearning to be an ordinary kid. Chris chimes in, agreeing with Luca that Thony might be overthinking things. She persists, emphasizing the importance of strengthening his immune system. Fiona (Martha Millan) reassures her, reminding her that the doctor wouldn't have sanctioned Luca's school attendance if there were any risks involved. Elsewhere, Luca finds himself waist-deep in murky sewer water.
Elsewhere, Ramona Sanchez (Kate Del Castillo) and Jorge Sanchez (Santiago Cabrera) listen intently to an audio clip of Armando Morales (Adan Canto), his voice crackling with desperation: "Clock, don't count the hours; I'm losing my mind." Dante (Clayton Cardenas) interprets this as undeniable proof of Armando's survival. A nostalgic flashback ensues, where Ramona presents young Armando (Adan James Carrillo) with a remote-controlled car, a miniature version of her cherished Cadillac. As they embrace, he confesses his love for her. Little Jorge (Leyson Andreck) reappears just as Armando holds aloft the key to Ramona's Cadillac. The joy is interrupted by Eduardo Morales's (Jason Manuel Olazabal) arrival; he scorns the gift, bought with ill-gotten gains, and tosses the RC Cadillac into the blazing fire pit. Ramona warns him against imposing his beliefs on Armando, to which he responds by giving her an ultimatum to leave by dawn.
Returning to the present, Ramona tasks Dante with bringing Nadia Morales (Eva De Dominici) to her, as she plots to reunite with Armando. At school, Luca bids farewell to Thony by entrusting him with his turtle before venturing off with his teacher, Mrs. Rodell. Jorge tries to ease Thony's worries about potential CPS scrutiny, revealing his efforts to remove Luca from foster care with the help of a contact. He hands her documents, querying her stance on Armando, to which she remains tight-lipped. He plays the audio clip from "El Reloj," suggesting Armando might be under the influence of drugs. As Jorge walks away, Thony catches sight of Ramona's henchman surveillance from a parked car nearby.
Ramona introduces Nadia to their refuge, a serene sanctuary where they'll await Armando's return. She brings in a horse, symbolizing healing and solace. Nadia inquires about Ramona's expectations, to which Ramona responds by expressing her desire for Armando to lead her cartel, a man she can trust implicitly. Fiona's surprise deepens with the unexpected arrival of Jeremy Dolan (Brandon Jay McLaren) to fix her toilet. Jorge vents about Ramona's plan to house Armando and Nadia under their roof, while Nadia, grateful yet cautious, underscores the need for a secluded environment devoid of distractions. Ramona warns that Armando's captors might strike again, but Nadia insists on negotiating and witnessing the exchange herself. Jorge opposes this, but Ramona grants her wish, making it clear that Nadia bears full responsibility for the outcome.
Thony breaks the news to Fiona that Armando might be returning home today, casting a glimmer of hope in their midst. Fiona, ever the compassionate one, gently nudges Thony to consider the prospect of a relationship with Armando, insisting that she deserves to be enveloped in love's warm embrace. Meanwhile, Dante's arrest report unfolds a chilling revelation: he was apprehended with sixteen vials of Devil's Breath in his possession. As Thony inspects the accompanying images, she notices that the handwriting bears an eerie resemblance to the vial she had previously discovered. Her suspicions harden; she believes Dante has Armando in his clutches and resolves to visit the location mentioned in the arrest report. Fiona urges caution, suggesting they inform Jorge, but Thony counters that he might be implicated in the scheme. With an antitoxin in hand, they prepare to depart, only to be interrupted by Jeremy's announcement that the toilet has been repaired. Persuading him to chauffeur them to Dante's listed address, they embark on their perilous mission.
Ramona manages to retrieve Armando's car from the impound lot, while Nadia reminisces about Armando's fondness for it, describing it as the car of his youth. Jorge corrects her, revealing that Ramona actually gifted Armando a model Cadillac, which, according to Ramona, was subsequently destroyed by Eduardo. Jorge hands Nadia a cellphone, explaining that it will be the kidnappers' point of contact for her.
Jeremy deposits Fiona and Thony at the address stated in Dante's arrest report, promising to return for them later. Inside the apartment building, a solicitation attempt by a man adds an unsavory layer to their already tense situation. They encounter Nohelia Sosa, a woman who responds to them in a foreign tongue, adding an element of mystery to their surroundings. Near a basketball court where children are playing, they stumble upon Armando's jacket, riddled with bullet holes, a grim testament to his plight. Thony informs the children that the jacket belongs to her friend, who might be injured, prompting Kyle (Elohim Nycalove) to invite them to join their group.
In a tense phone conversation, Nadia assures the kidnappers that the ransom will be wired into their account once Armando is safely in her arms. Dante, sensing an impending doom, expresses his foreboding about the impending exchange, which Ramona dismisses as mere anxiety stemming from his lack of control. Nadia informs Ramona that the kidnappers have acquiesced to her terms, but their conversation is punctuated by regretful reflections. Just as they discuss their missteps, Nadia receives a chilling text from the kidnappers, setting the stage for an uncertain future.
Kyle guides them into a chamber where his ailing grandfather, Alvin (played by Myles Cranford), resides. Thony meticulously diagnoses Alvin with BPPV, a delicate inner ear disorder, and proceeds to demonstrate a manipulative technique for Kyle to replicate whenever needed. Alvin expresses a marked improvement in his condition. As Fiona and Thony prepare to depart, Kyle reveals that a mysterious man discarded something into a dumpster, sparking concerns for his safety. Reluctantly agreeing to show them the man's abode, Kyle leads the way.
Upon arrival, Thony discovers Armando, battered and bound, confined within a room. Meanwhile, Jorge tinkers away at the Cadillac, reminding Ramona of her偏爱 towards Armando by bestowing her treasured vehicle upon him, rather than himself. He underscores the urgency to expand their enterprise while eliminating hazardous routes. Ramona assures him they will deliberate on the matter with Armando upon his return.
Elsewhere, Fiona and Thony stealthily infiltrate an apartment. Fiona takes up position outside while Thony ventures in to search for Armando. Unfortunately, she stumbles over an object, shattering vials containing Devil's Breath. Inhaling the potent powder, Thony succumbs to vivid hallucinations, embracing a figment of her imagination she believes to be Armando. She vows never to let him slip away, until Fiona's urgent warning pulls her back to reality. Confused, Thony insists on rescuing Armando, only for Fiona to snap her out of it, revealing his absence.
Inside Jeremy's truck, Fiona administers an antitoxin to Thony as they witness men loading something into a vehicle. Jeremy urges them to call the police, but Thony reaches out to Nadia, who is already in pursuit of the kidnappers. Warning her that Dante is involved in Armando's abduction, Nadia, skeptical, refuses to disclose her location. Dante commands her to end the call, but she covertly texts the coordinates to Thony.
Racing towards the location, Jeremy manages to catch up with the apartment building men. As they narrowly avoid a police roadblock, Thony and Armando catch each other's eyes amidst the chaos. Suddenly, unmarked police cars swarm the road, forcing Jeremy and the kidnappers to swerve onto an alternative route. Dante's phone rings out, prompting the kidnappers to open fire on Jeremy's vehicle. One of them aims his gun at Thony, only for Armando, despite his bonds, to knock it aside as their vehicle plummets over a cliff. Thony peers over the precipice as the police cruisers draw near.
Flashing back, Thony and Armando share a passionate dance, with him whispering, "Clock, don't count the hours, for I am losing my mind. She'll vanish forever when dawn breaks anew." Their lips meet as the episode concludes, painting a poignant picture of their intertwined fate.
