Later, Fiona stealthily convenes with ASAC Katherine Russo (Liza Weil), pleading for protection. Russo agrees to extend her shield, contingent on Fiona's assistance in uncovering the identity of Armando's captors.

Elsewhere, Ramona Sanchez (Kate Del Castillo) locks horns with Jorge Sanchez (Santiago Cabrera) over his vehement opposition to Violeta attending a party. He insists that she cancel the impending art exhibit, whereas Ramona underscores the imperative of showcasing their vulnerabilities to the world.

Thony confides in Fiona her intention to inspect the apartment where Armando was once held captive. Fiona, who has already sought refuge with Russo, confesses her encounter. Thony expresses apprehension about the safety of their kin, as Chris (Sean Lew) and Jaz (Faith Bryant) arrive unexpectedly. Chris reveals that Camilla is ignoring his messages and entreats Thony to enlist a Coyote's help in checking on her. Fiona cautions against entangling themselves with the Coyotes, but Thony is resolute in her decision to present any incriminating evidence from the apartment to Russo.

Upon entering the apartment, Thony is startled to find Jorge and Ramona already present. As Jorge lunges for his gun, threatening to end her life, Thony flashes a mirror inscribed with "Marina" by Armando's hand. Ramona defends herself, claiming Dante (Clayton Cardenas) had caught Armando encroaching on their territory but failed to recognize him until it was past the point of no return. She denies any role in Armando's abduction and expresses regret for the pain she's inflicted upon their family before exiting.

Jorge, visibly shaken, warns Thony of Ramona's erratic nature but issues a grim ultimatum—cross the Feds, and he'll terminate her existence. Ramona extends an invitation to Nadia Morales (Eva De Dominici), urging her to flee with her and escape their tumultuous lives. Jorge confronts Ramona, demanding to know why she kept Armando's plight from him. Ramona shifts the blame to Dante, asserting that he orchestrated the ransom plot. Nadia, accusations flying, accuses Ramona of Armando's demise and storms out. Ramona scolds Jorge for confronting her in Nadia's presence and blames Thony for the ordeal. Jorge reassures her that he would have discovered the truth eventually and urges her to spare Thony further grief. As Ramona reaches for a glass of orange juice, it slips from her grasp, shattering into pieces on the floor.

Thony confronts Fiona with the revelation that Ramona was privy to Armando's abduction and ransom plot. Fiona, resigned, utters that no deed of hers could revert his fate. Just then, Jeremy Dolan (portrayed by Brandon Jay McLaren) steps in, volunteering to conclude their task. Fiona, declining his aid, insists that Thony remains, while she'll secure a ride back with Roxy. Thony cautions her of the impending peril, to which Fiona retaliates by accusing her of endangering them all before departing.

Elsewhere, Chris receives a text from Camilla amidst the tension. Jorge implores Ramona to seek medical attention for her reckless antics. Meanwhile, amidst the cleanup, Thony and Jeremy find themselves plunged into darkness as the warehouse fills with chlorine gas. Struggling to locate an egress, Jeremy attempts to turn off the lethal lever but suffers an injury in the attempt. Thony swiftly drapes him on a blanket and drags him across the floor to safety within a room.

With Jeremy enduring a head wound, Thony scrambles to locate medical supplies. She resorts to a staple gun to staunch the bleeding, while Jeremy urges an immediate exit. Thony improvises by sealing his wound with glue, amidst Jeremy's suspicion that this calamity was premeditated.

Back at home, Fiona discovers Chris in the kitchen, accompanied by Jaz. They collaborate to beautify the dining table. In another corner, Thony confesses to Jeremy her ignorance about the unfolding chaos. Smoke seeping through the door signals their urgent need for an escape route.

Nadia, resolved, informs someone of her intention to submit a bid for a house that night. She clarifies to Charmaine that her presence stems from Armand's wish for her happiness. They toast to her new abode and rejuvenated life. However, an FBI agent confronts Nadia, accusing her of playing with fire that led to Armand's demise. The explosion at the sportsbook, funded under her name, was a grave mistake. Nadia is apprehended for insurance fraud.

Ramona visits Nadia in jail, pleading to assist her, but Nadia rejects her offer, preferring solitude over Ramona's company. Ramona insists that their predicaments transcend money and believes they can mutually heal. Nadia, desolate and self-blaming, rejects Ramona's gesture, accusing her of Armand's demise due to inactivity. Nadia entreats Ramona to abandon her to her solitude. Meanwhile, Jeremy and Thony orchestrate an explosion, securing their escape from the perilous confines.

Outside, they stumble upon compelling evidence suggesting that someone had deliberately orchestrated the scene to resemble an accident. Thony insists that they should keep silent about their discoveries, fearing it might escalate the situation further. In a moment of clarity, she confides in Jeremy, revealing that the Sin Cara Cartel is behind the chaos. Thony finds herself at a loss, unsure how to extricate herself from this web of deceit and danger. Jeremy, however, reassures her that he can manage the police. He suggests a more strategic approach: instead of confronting the cartel head-on, she should focus on uncovering their vulnerabilities and exploiting them to her advantage.

Meanwhile, Chris dials Camila's number, hoping she hasn't changed her mind about joining them for dinner. Jaz speculates that she might have stood him up. Chris, confused and hurt, admits to Fiona that he cannot fathom why Camila would behave in such a manner. Suddenly, his phone buzzes with a video from Camila, in which she appears coerced by an unseen force. Chris shares the distressing footage with his mother.

Elsewhere, Jorge approaches Nadia with a proposition, revealing that Ramona has betrayed them both. He speculates that Ramona's strategy is to keep them close, possibly to exploit their loyalty. Jorge outlines a plan to regain control, offering to rescue Nadia and retrieve her lost funds, provided she agrees to a fifty-fifty split.

In another part of town, Thony encounters Ramona, who is addressing a gathering about the intricacies of art. As Ramona approaches, Thony warns her that her efforts to appear benevolent will need to be more convincing. She openly accuses Ramona of plotting her demise. Desperate, Thony pitches an alliance, reminding Ramona of how she once trusted and utilized Armand. Ramona, however, dismisses her, suggesting she has outlived her usefulness. Thony counters by pointing out the absence of Armand and Dante, along with Jorge's growing disdain and Nadia's potential betrayal. She claims to possess an uncanny ability to perceive when someone is struggling internally, suggesting that Ramona, despite her appearance, is on the brink of collapse. Thony offers to save Ramona, if Ramona, in return, spares her life.

Elsewhere, Simon faces Ramona's wrath for failing to eliminate the cleaning lady. Ramona claims to have found a way forward, but Simon's promise to protect her ends abruptly when she takes his life. Upon returning home, Fiona fills Thony in on Camila's situation. They watch the video, pondering if the woman who rescued Chris in the desert is the same one sent by the cartel. Fiona conjectures that Camila's bravery in saving Chris's life obligation binds them to repay the favor. Their conversation unfolds under Agent Russo's watchful eyes, who monitors them through the house's surveillance system. She inquires about their progress in identifying Thony's collaborators, to which Jeremy confirms they are edging closer to the truth.
