The seventh episode of The Price of Confession opens with a gruesome scene as someone snaps photos of Se-hun's lifeless body, later dragging it away into the shadows. We then witness Yun-su pedaling frantically back home on her bicycle, careening into a truck as she rushes through a red light. She must get home before Sun-deok arrives with the new ankle bracelet. Sun-deok arrives, and after a moment's hesitation, Yun-su opens the door, pretending to have fallen asleep in the bath after going out to buy a light bulb and accidentally breaking the bracelet. Sun-deok notices water seeping in from the back door and the house phone off the hook, but she believes Yun-su and hands over the new bracelet. As soon as she's gone, Yun-su burns the clothes she wore that fateful night.
The next day, Mo Eun receives a letter through Jin Young-in, revealing a photo of Se-hun's lifeless body inside. Before Young-in can even glance at the image, Mo-eun swiftly tears it up and devours it. As she returns to her cell, she is introduced to a young girl named Hui-yeong, freshly arrived.
Elsewhere, Mr. Ko visits the police station to report his grandson missing, having received a text from Se-hun stating he was going away and wouldn't be returning. But the old man is convinced that someone else penned those words. Detective Ryu and Dong-hun delve into the case, discovering that Se-hun's phone is out of town. Dong-hun meets with Bae Sun-deok and inquires about Yun-su's whereabouts over the past three days, but Sun-deok refuses to divulge any information without proper protocol.
A flashback reveals how Yun-su sent the text message from Se-hun's phone and then tossed it into a passing truck. Presently, Yun-su drives by the house again, unaware that bloodstains inside indicate she has hidden Se-hun's body in a freezer. Unwittingly, she has dropped a few strands of her hair near the bloodstains, adding to the gruesome evidence that will one day unravel her secrets.
As the inmates, including Mo Eun, huddled within their cell, they watched the news of Se-hun's disappearance unfurl on the screen. That night, Mo Eun ingested all the pills she had collected, her mind slipping further into a haze. Hui-yeong, in a cruel twist of words, informed her that she had known the dentist couple she had taken down and was glad they were no more. As Mo Eun's condition worsened and she was rushed to the hospital, flashes of her past with a young girl named So-mang danced through her delirious mind. The final glimpse showed Mo Eun setting fire to a car with So-mang inside, her voice choked with apologies.
Yun-su, catching wind of Mo Eun's hospitalization on the news, visited her under the guise of a doctor. The final clause of their deal dictated that Yun-su recount to Mo Eun how Se-hun met his end. As Yun-su described the gruesome details of her crime, Mo Eun's suspicion lingered. She recalled the picture she had received in the mail, which bore a striking dissimilarity to the one Yun-su now showed her.
The truth, like a gush of cold water, washed over them both. Yun-su, it turned out, couldn't bring herself to stab Se-hun. Instead, she woke him up and coaxed him into faking his death and posing for the pictures. He agreed to hide in the basement of his parents' house, promising to live there in secret from everyone. Yun-su had given him a week to rectify things.
In the present moment, Yun-su admitted that she couldn't go through with it but promised to make the boy suffer for his crimes. But there was no need; thanks to the other photograph she had received, Mo Eun knew that the boy was gone forever. The episode ended with Mr Ko discovering the boy's lifeless body in the freezer deep within the basement of his parents' house.
